Guest TNGearhart
Has anyone installed these in bar grips on a VFR with stock bars. I know they work on a conventional motorcycle handle bar, but I wasn't sure about clipon's. Polly Heaters - snow mobile in bar heaters
Member Contributer chris2992 Posted November 11, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted November 11, 2007 They won't work on the VFR for two reasons. -There is no where to bring the wires out, you would have to drill a hole in the end of the clip on. -you would have to remove the bar end weights and the vibration damper inside the bars for them to fit. Then come up with a new way to mount different bar ends. In my eyes, the dual star's or the kimplex heaters are hard to beat.
Member Contributer fallzboater Posted November 11, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted November 11, 2007 Here's a better reason: Heating the right clip-on is not going to heat the right grip at all, due to the plastic throttle tube. The left one would probably work OK, but I think you'd be wasting a lot of precious wattage vs. heated grips.
