Member Contributer Tejas Posted March 17, 2006 Member Contributer Share Posted March 17, 2006 Also one of our members 'MCT54' makes lowering links and shorter kickstands. I have them on my bike and they work great.

I rotated the triangle on my '05, got a Sargent's seat more lower and narrower -- solved the problem.
Member Contributer Tejas Posted March 17, 2006 Member Contributer Share Posted March 17, 2006 Did you have to modify the kickstand afterwards?
Member Contributer McCleod Posted March 17, 2006 Member Contributer Share Posted March 17, 2006 Did you have to modify the kickstand afterwards? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, I don't find it necessary. I try to watch where I park and not get the left as the high side.

Member Contributer EarthTones Posted March 21, 2006 Member Contributer Share Posted March 21, 2006 i need to lower my 99 vfr does any one make lowering linkds for these bikes <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've found three sources for lowering. There's a german company on ebay that makes aftermarket triangle brackets, but the result is just like rotating the stock triangle (see forum thread). I followed the what these VFR guys did and it worked great - lowered 7/8 inch, and took about 30 minutes. I got an email from "MCT54@excite.com" last week and he has the dogbones, but no kickstands. Good luck.
Member Contributer NVR2L8 Posted March 22, 2006 Member Contributer Share Posted March 22, 2006 Does anyone remember how much MCT54's link lowers the rear? I think 1.25"?
