  1. I think I may have stumbled on a solution to the 65k Gates wants for a custom mold. You need to think globally here. Produce all the engineer drawings needed for machining the parts. include the design for molded polycarbonate 166t belt. Slap some fake U.S. Paten numbers on them and leak them to the Chinese. Then you just purchase the whole kit on E-bay in a few months for $200 ready to fit your bike. :)

That, sir, is ingenious... And very plausible.

And just as likely to fall apart and leave you stranded some where with lead poisoning. :goofy:

I would rather buy a BLS made in the USA product designed for my VFR than a cheap China product any day of the week. :fing02:

  2. it does look like it was meant to be there, keith. nice work!

i understand that the voltmeter tells you voltage in your system - what do you do if it's too high/low? shut the bike off?

i'm guessing watching this is to prevent you from overcharging or overtaxing your electrical system, correct?

It's basically letting you know that your charging system is working. If it drops too low it warns you something has gone wrong and you're riding on borrowed time.

  3. So I am not confused. Some of you folks are using Mobil 1 Full Synthetic with the flags and "Race Proven" written on the bottle 15w50 that you can get at Wally World for about $22 per Gallon? And no where on the gallon jug it says Motorcycle specific or good for Wet clutches?

Read up on oil from BR's link from page 1.

I also like the info on oil found here, they also have a great oil filter cross reference listed to and I now use only WalMart's SuperTech ST 7317 filters as they have superior filtering then most at the cheapest price(made by Champion)

Then BLS also made a post on page 1 regarding issues with the wet clutch. All your questions are answered in this very thread. wink.gif

  4. Your pictures are successfully loaded in your photo gallery. Just use the "Gallery Post Tool" located at the bottom left of your edit screen to insert them into your post.

And after having looked through them....sick!

Beg/borrow/steal someone's camcorder and get some live footage! I think I will just wait for Toro's 6th Gen charger and forget about wanting another bike.

  5. Yikes! I haven't paid more than $80 for a tent ever. Try Coleman tents. Inexpensive and they work. Get a 2-3 man two pole dome tent and you are set. I have tested several of their tents through some pretty crappy weather and always came out dry in the end. They are quick to put up/take down and you can fold the tent a variety of different ways to get it to fit in your gear (any tent that is). Your biggest issue will be the poles but they all fold now-a-days so strapping them to your luggage is very doable. I paid $50 for my 3 man Coleman and still have it for exactly what you plan on doing. Roomy enough for 2 with plenty of space for gear.

    Good luck!

Edit: Here's the Coleman Tents. I have the Sundome and I love it. They have a 2 man Hooligan for $60 and it only uses 1 pole. And of course they have the Weathertec system that guarantees your satisfaction. wink.gif

  6. Good editing. I am guessing this is one camera that you mounted to different points? Did you have to buy different mounts or did you rig something up?

It was fun to watch. :fing02:
