With tre riding season coming to a close, it is time to measure the health of the charging system before putting her in hibernation. 8,000km in a season (and 6k on the VF) ain't bad at all.
Well, considering you done 8k on the SP2, the Contis you have, have hold up great, as you have not change them? right?
Always enjoy the ride pictures....

Whoose! .. Loads of life left in them!
Migth be a lot of life left in them, but a new pad holds more calliper piston inside to prevent them sticking later
A good move I think!

Is your VF500 running on stock 15T gearbox sprocket and 43T rear sprocket?
But I recall Dutchy do run a 120/90-18 rear tire, so slightly larger OD than oem 110/90-18
Right Dutchy?

"Are Friends Electric 2.0"
In 2014 I test rode BMW's C Evolution, which was fun, but looks wise and seating position not an ahem "real" motorcycle.
Today, by chance I came across a "eco" fair where the ZERO was on display AND available for a test ride.
Who am I to say no to a free ride???
Did the BMW (in 2014) give 72Nm torque,
my SP2 118Nm,
the SR delivers 146Nm...... Holy Shitt!!!
TorqueMonster 2.0
Frame, suspension, handling, brakes, all excellent. The one scary thing is that as you speed (and I mean SPEED) down the road, cyclist and pedestrians NEVER hear you coming...
They need to add the noise makers that kids use on their bicycles!

Lovely start of the day
The latter part not so much.....
At least all the flies washed of my leathers and helmet
Guess the typical Dutch weather did hit again
First picture lovely!

Yes, Honda need more speed, seems its the green bikes that are the fastest now, Superbike or Supersport...........

Susi would argue the "seating arrangement" to be "somewhat lacking" on the SP.....
My bad for taking her on (her first) motorcycle vacation on my brother's ST1100 20 years ago....
Duc tape a thick pillow on back of the SP

Get the next best thing to a RT, a 1200 VFR..............
or if Brother still has the ST1100, borrow it..............
You will rigret selling the VF500, it made a big impression on you as you got your own after you did ride mine....that I had.....

In fact my wife is half suggesting I sell the VF and get a -god forbid- BMW RT.......
If the SP is already almost a ST, who need s RT?
VF500F2 Aka MBD Incubation Period At Least 52 Years
