  1. And excuse me for my English
    .

Don't worry, new friend. Dutchy can help you. He's from the Lowlands and gets his kicks riding on top of dikes and looking in people's bedroom windows.

    no language excuse mate!

your english is better than most of the americans i meet! :goofy:

    How can you tell, Greg?

    I'm just sayin', is all........

    Udder Greg

  2. I think Lobster has ONE set left for 5th gens....

Do they fit 4th gens? I like them, and it would be good to get rid of the condom mirrors.

You'll have to PM Lobster, Kath. Note: He only makes the spacers that go under the mirror bracket to make them stick out past your shoulder when you check your blind spot.

    Greg

  3. Some people buy a shorty right and regular left.

Sorry, no pics. I have short fat hands, so the brake allows me to keep two fingers on it if I want.

The long clutch allows me to use the 'full' hand to pull in and release. The extra leverage helps with the effort required...... :comp13:

I have Pazzos available if you're interested. PM me. :warranty:

    Greg :fing02:

  4. ??? Kind of lost me. Red back lighting will not change the ind. lights. Did you talk to Scot? Will he add a resistor? It wouldn't put me out. Just let me know, if you change your mind, (while you have it torn apart). Only costs a stamp. (I can hack that). LOL. And, you're very welcome.

    What he said.....

All indicators are their own seperate led colors. Eg. Scott changed out my blue led high beam for a violet one

It could have been any color for that matter.

I believe some of the more 'inclined' members have even done these mods by themselves......

I, however, tend to fall more in the category of 'declined'......

    Greg :fing02:

I gotta ask why you store your VFR in a large frig? Or was the air temp sensor just on the blink?

No, it's just a shot from getting home Friday Feb. 13th in Port Dover.

It made me qualify for becoming the founder of the Canadian Regiment of 'The Brass Balls Battalian.'

NOTE: No heated chaps, vests, grips, wire harnesses etc. were harmed during this event.

The same, however, cannot be said for 'Wee Willie Winkie and The Two California Raisins' sad.gif

    There were rewards however...............

  6. Hey folks,

A couple of times while riding distance at night now I've been highly annoyed by the extremely bright hi-beam indicator on my 6th gen. Has anyone added a dimmer for this indicator, other than tape over it :^)?

    TIA,

    Anders

I went to see Scott at Blueguages.com for the same reason. Coupled with the reflection off the windscreen, it's distracting at the least. My brother, who flies, said the best color is red or orange so I went with that for the overall guage color.

Then I changed out the blue for high beam to violet.

I only had this picture without the high beam light on.

  7. Summary: keep cam mechanism lubed(penetrating oil and graphite), push down and hold down CAP while unlocking, push down on CAP to latch.

    Ipso-facto-apso-poso-lutely!!!! +1.gif+1.gif+1.gif

Do the same to the ignition switch/steering lock before it becomes your next 'key' issue too!

    Been there, sad.gif

    Greg

  8. Don't forget to strap him in with the 'Four Point Harness'................. :fing02:

( Ps. He is going to KILL you for that pic when he grows up, not to mention the lawsuit!)

Have you lost your mind? That is a child-not a piece of luggage- what if the hinges broke? You are NOT thinking clearly!

Of couse there has got to be one. You did not think that I thought about that? I replaced the rope with 550 cord that can support up to 550 lbs, then I put a 25 pound weight in there for about 10 min and my child only weighs 10 pounds.

WHAT IF WHAT IF.... what if worms had machine guns..... birds would not mess with them.

I was toally safe just enjoy it or dont comment.

    THANK YOU

    Sig:

    I think he was kidding...........(I hope  )

    I KNOW I was! tongue.gif

    (Note blatant use of emoticons....)

  9. Hello to at it has been a while since I was on here last. My son Kane Ryley Sauer was born 2 weeks ago and with buying a house in NC and moving from SC and checking into a new unit, as well as a little one I have been really busy. Well things are now slowly starting to calm down and I was able to take a good look at the VFR and here is my newest MOD if that is what you want to call it!

Don't forget to strap him in with the 'Four Point Harness'.................

  10. Yes - I didn't think of Russell. That makes a lot more sense.

    I did.......

Her name is JANE RUSSELL :491:

She was the spokeswoman for the Playtex 18hr bra

(Not exactly as illustrated: Dealer may sell for less.)

    MoveoverPortDover.gifav-171.gif

But no; I didn't realize she was into 18hr seats too..... :fing02:

This post won't last that long though......  :squid: :squid:

    :goofy: :goofy: :goofy: :goofy:

  11. for those that dont have the time ,or skills i highly recommend bluegauges to them scott hooked me up and did a outstanding job with a quick turnaround .

 :fing02:  On Scott @ Blueguages. I went to see him a while ago and let alone he offered to receive my CRV trailer hitch for me, we installed it on his front lawn, and while we went out to have lunch, he did the led thing and it was ready when we came back!

Friendly and A1 integrity... based on this alone, I'd highly recommend his services. He's done lots of our members a quality job.

DIY is great but, I count myself among the 'mechanically declined' on this site. I also bought a speedo healer from him too.

I felt it was the least I could do for someone who never even met me to receive an accessory for my vehicle.

Ps I LOVE the end result!

    Will post pics sometime.... :fing02:

    Greg

  12. Well, got some of the mods done. the most important ones anyway.. Radars sliders and Kens Eliminator...

Darren, Your sliders are truely works of art. no if's or but's about it.. just pure genius...

see pics for the Red post black slider combo... very nice indeed.

also, I tried a different way for the water bottle... hole saw cut, then use a piece of plumbing pipe that fits, then seal/glue with some silicon.... lesson learnt. Use the same technique as the way you cut the Fairings.. first drill through from the other side of the bike while the bottle is installed. then remove the bottle and hole saw.

    cheers

    Matt

If that seal job holds up on the rad bottle, you are a friggin' genius, Mate!!

What type and size of plastic did you use and any special kind of silicon?

Maybe this might warrant being added to the "How to" part of the instructions!

    MASSIVE!!!!! :pissed: +1.gif

  13. 230border-p1.jpg

    Sweet!

I was referring to the song! :musik20:

    No....REALLY?????

And here I thought it was gonna turn out to be another 'This song doesn't exist without pictures' thread.......... :goofy: :goofy:

  14. I found these sliders online yesterday...anyone tried them yet? No drilling the reservoir!

    http://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/BikeHPS_On...r_Honda_19.html

The VFR pic is fourth from the bottom.

I have them and I converted to Radar's Kit once I got over the drilling fear. Greg

So you're saying that you've got a set and went to this Radar's kit instead?

Ya, Dat's it...... Failsafe install and IMHO, a much more 'robust' mounting point.

If anything, the quality and design is to the level of almost overengineering.... but that's a GOOD thing! :joystick:

  15. I just installed Travis's (rvcyco's) bug buster and snapped a couple shots along with some carbon sliders I made a while ago. I gotta tell ya being a machinist for 20 years has given me a very critical eye for fit and form and that Bug Buster is quality work. I'm very pleased. Thanks Travis!

    gallery_13095_3621_560752.jpg

Carbon SSSliders This is my own creation. Not an easy mod or one for people with faint hearts!

....they'll match the sewn-on patch Veefer Madness sent me by the same name............ :P

    WOW!!!!!

    I don't believe it!!!

For once I beat somebody to the punch! (Gawd knows, it'll NEVER be on a bike... sad.gif )

Gotta post that and the 'Hazzmat' thingys up too!

  17. Even if I could scratch up that much dough, I'd have a hard time picking a color.

    mccoy11.jpg

    That's the easy part.......

    BOMBSHELL BLONDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :salesman: :salesman:

Is that the drugs or does that look like Christina Applegate???? AAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOO...... :pissed:

Champagne tastes on a beer budget though...... sad.gif

Don't worry, Larry. At that price, there's STILL gonna be a market for 8 Spokers.

She/they/whatever sure look sweet.
