Those vented front discs look like more vent than disc! I wonder what the most efficient ratio % of disc to vent is for continuous heavy breaking (track riding) vs. cooling ability? Now there's an all-night-beer conversation for you.

Looks like my riding group. A good mix of everything.
-
Yep, especially Summit Lake area of Mt. Evans... like a bareback competition if you're too fast.
-
One of my "local goals" is to summit Pike's Peak and Mt. Evans in the same day this summer. Two 14ers in a day should be a challenge. I'll stage out of my parent's Black Forest home just to get a jump on things in the a.m. Gotta start early to avoid afternoon Tstorms! 67 to Deckers, Horsepower Hill, Conifer, Evergreen, Squaw Pass would be the fun way but 25 to 70 to Idaho Springs might be the fastest. hmmmm My winter brain is churning!

When I'm driving, I always look for an opportunity to hang right and wave motorcycles past me. I usually get a wave back as they go by.

Funny Huntsville story. During my Air Force days I had flown into Huntsville and was at a local restaurant in my flight suit. 4 women came up and asked for my autograph - they thought I was an astronaut. Of course I obliged! They now have a mailman's signature.

The side fairings seem a bit flat to me but that's better than going all Buck Rogers with excessive cuts and folds in the lines. Over all, I like it - even more so than the 7th gen 1200s.

I'm not big on orange but that is beautiful. Looks very similar to a late model Corvette color or a newer Hyundai color.

I just spent some time last week at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. These special places always bring out incredible emotions. Beautiful pic.

Never, ever, thought I'ld sell my 4th gen but this one has stolen my heart. Givi Tanklock T-480, Givi Blade 46l trunk, and Leo Vince make it mine. Thanks for the feature HS.
-
hmmmm.....and I thought I didn't like the 7th gens.
-
Looks amazing - something like a brand new Duca-prilia straight off the showroom floor. Would never guess it's 15 years old. Excellent work.

Which ZG shield is that? Thx!

First brain flash = MV Agusta! Looks much more like a sport bike w/o being squidly. A+

Looks like a good time. I'm spending my time mowing, painting, cooking, planting flowers, etc for my daughter's high school graduation this weekend. I would MUCH rather be on the bike! Enjoy - RIDE SAFELY!

Beautiful bike. That is exactly what I learned to ride on. A buddy w/o a car traded me for 3 days and I was hooked.
-
Dramatic coastline - nice shot! On the weather, my brother that lives over there was living in Portland Oregon and hated the weather....so he moved to Ireland!!??
-
OK, I'll say it... All that moto-gear and jeans? Yes, I'm the VFRD safety nanny.

Back in '85, I "learned" to ride on a buddy's red/white '83 VF750 and went out just a few months later and bought my first motorcycle, this '85 VF700F. Many, many great memories on this bike. Unfortunately, my next door neighbor totaled it by flipping it end over end demolishing the front fairing and crushing the rear frame onto the wheel. Three VFs later, I'm still in love with the family.

That makes TWO clear clutch covers featured in a row! I prefer the black over the blue pic. Very nice.
-
WOW! That 4th gen makes me miss mine more than ever. Ten years on one bike created so many fantastic memories. I hope addicted2tc is loving it the way I did.
-
This may sound a bit odd but as long as I'm not in traffic, I enjoy a good rain ride. You have to dial it back some but I enjoy it none the less. Great color too!
-
NOPE, I'm talking about the red ones on bike in the background.
-
Those red rim stripes really show up!

Really digging all of these "old" bikes featured recently.
