Two more added to the list.  Still waiting for Spring to load, as daylight savings is now in effect.

Hope to have final logo & shirt designs completed this month.

The meal menu is done.  Still working on a few 'things' and the swag bag.

    Thanks Tony!

PS: Dolly said you never call?

  2. So while I had the airbox off to do the PAIR removal, I thought I’d go the extra mile and pull the injectors, due to the fact that my fuel system was so gacked up from being parked for 10 years by the PO. (BADLY rusted fuel tank)

Three injectors came out fine, but the rear injector on the front cylinder left some crumbly black debris on the throttle body when it came off.

Looking closely at the injector, what remained of the OEM bottom seal was destroyed, and it looks like someone put a generic O-ring on there which is smaller than the others, also, the remaining 3 appear to be square in profile and not round.

Boy am I glad I removed all of this stuff and checked!!!

Next stop: professional injector cleaning and new seals.

Rob, curious if you considered the newer Power RS. I got a set for my VTec last spring and like them a lot. The lack of tread grooves was disconcerting but not noticeable even on damp roads. Steering was a little heavier than remembered with PP3 or 2CT, I assume due to the rounder front profile. Lifespan looks to be better - 7300 km so far (most during last years trek to Monterey).

No I had not considered using those.

    I have 0 miles on the PP3’s so I can’t comment.

Derek & I will be celebrating our 10th year riding with VFRD friends ! This time I’ll be riding my own little Honda. A wee bit ambitious for my first multi day tour but I’m stoked !! Thanks for setting SumSum up again Tony! See y’all soon !

A few repeats of the Duffy Lake Loop next year will solidify you, and you'll be golden!

  6. 6 years later and 34,000 km later and the Ferodo/EBC/OEM clutch combo is still going stong.

And Seb’s clesr clutch cover is flawless. No leaks and looks good! No staining in the lexan window, etc.

OK, just for the sake of . . . .

The dates for Custer would most likely be July 11-13 (Wed - Fri) or 10 - 12, or 10 - 13.

This is 2-3 weeks before the shit show in Sturgis and before it turns into Harley Central.

The traffic in the area was minimal for tourist and you could get a seat just about anywhere for lunch/ dinner.

Lest we forget, not a few miles away from Dillon (in Silverton) was the women's Harley Riders meet the week around when we were there in '09.

I'm happy with either location.  Whatever ya'll decide is what I will organize, so it's one less thing I get blamed for  need to decide on.

Just get a hold of everyone, bump this thread and VOTE.  Don't get trumped into something or wish you woulda coulda shoulda cause you didnt' vote.

Thanks Tony! It’ll be a blast!

  8. Managed to blast the fuel tank innards at the car wash to get most of the loose rusty scale out.

Bemoeve it or not, the pic is an improvement over what was before!!!

Dried it and now trying to find time to do the tank cleaning and coating kit.

Hurt my right arm a bit loading furniture, so it might be a bit before I can tackle the tank.

What SPAL fan model number did you use and does it cover the same area as the oem fan? I tried to fit a SPAL fan on the right hand radiator but struggled to get it to fit due to the thickness of the fan motor. I can see from the photo that you have made an alumium frame to mount it? Nice work.

The mounting bracket was made by a fellow RC51 owner who did a limited run of them. The fan slightly covers the end tank of the rad, but not much. It had to, to clear the frame spar.
