  1. Thanks for the advice and the welcome guys. It’s a 2002 Vtec. I changed out the air filter, a K&N which was dirty but not wet. Forgot to mention that the bike hasn’t Been MOT’d for nine years so could well have been sat for that long with fuel in the tank. Long enough for good tyres with plenty of rubber left to perish beyond riding. I’m going to keep my eye on the fuel level and if it starts to rise I’ll check out the injectors.
  2. Hi guys. Just picked up my first VFR, wasn’t expecting to buy one but at the price it was a steal. She’s been stood for a long time, perished tyres and all. Battery charged, fired up first time, a little white smoke. I’ve cleared the codes, changes the coolant too. When draining the oil, with a warm engine, I was amazed at the amount in there. 10.5 litres of very thin, clean, fuel smelling oil. Book says around 3.1L. What do on earth is that all about? Thanks guys, Chris
