  1. Hi 🖖, Welcome to this forum. I also have the same bike like yours. Congratulations on getting a mint condition bike. And you are right those mods look ugly. Unfortunately I don't have those side cases, so can't help but hope, someone else in the group will be able to provide you the correct information. Thanks
  2. This was quite informative to me. Very helpful and very well made video. Thanks Kbear.
  3. Hi, can you post a picture of how you have done it. That would be helpful. Thank you.
  4. Excuse me if this has been discussed and there exists a perfect solution that I could not find. I see the 5th Gen. had a couple of anchor points towards the front of the back seat and another two towards the back. But these are no longer there on the 6th gen. Please let me know if I am missing something or if someone was able to DIY beautifully. Thank you in advance. Mait.
  5. got it !! perfect 🙂 Thank you so much to Skids, you were of so much help. Also my thanks to bmart and Cogswell. Thanks
  6. PLEASE HELP !! Beautiful writeup, kudos to OP; however, none of the attached images can be seen. I can see the images on other threads but not on this thread (this means my system is working fine). All I see is like this: (see below) Few days back I was reading this thread and at that time I could see all the images as these should be. But not today. Site admin, please help. I have tried this on two different computers and nothing changes between the two. Thank you.
  7. I should have mentioned in the original post. Only 9600 Kms (6000 miles). Now tell me. Thank you.
  8. Hay Guys, Please help me order the right parts, my neighbourhood dealer is stup., doesn't know a thing. Oil seal on one of the forks is leaking; I want to get both forks done. Please have a look at the attached images and let me know which part numbers should I order. Wondering if #21 51490-MCW-D01 is all that I need ? OR I also need # 10, #17 and #28 ? It is for 6th gen 08 VFR800A - Interceptor ABS. Thank you.
  9. Thank you, Thank you and Thank you everyone for your precious time and advice. I think now I am good and would be able to bring the bike home.
  10. Hi bmart, sorry this is not an option for me. up here in canada it is -23*C (-10*F), all the streets are icy. Hi Wald, Nice to learn this. Now I know where I can tie it. Also, do I need a chock or can do without? Thanks
  11. Hello the finest people on two wheels, Excuse me if this topic should have gone elsewhere or it has been discussed enough number of times earlier. I am buying a 6th Gen bike this weekend. It is about 30 KMs from my house. I will be renting an enclosed moving truck from UHAUL. I am not sure where are the best points to tie down the bike? If that would be the handle bar or the front forks or both? Where to tie the back end? I don't have a front wheel chok, should I buy one? Please spare a few minutes and advise. Pictures would be much appreceated. TYIA. Mait
