Tire Set-Up
in Tires
Not to add to more complexity. did you check the head bearings? Many many moons ago, I had a 250 which Was lazy to turn in. The problem was a too tight head bearing.

I am with Progressive now for 4 years, the process to get coverage was very easy. I do not remember if there was a question about DL suspension. Cannot comment on claims as I did not have any (knock on wood!)
Good Luck to you!

Thanks I lived in CT for a summer and rode every weekend from NY to MA to the southern tip of CT , fortunately a lot of those old roads where not built in a straight line, a lot of fun and good memories.
...and I found few of these roads where I can practice my old skills and memory for speed!

Nice bike and welcome from CT!

I use Stabil Marine grade, the bike usually starts on the first attempt after 4 months.
I only use it for the last 2 tank fill ups before winterizing to make sure, it is inthe carbs. And, yes, trickle charger used during storage

My 4th gen came with grip puppies on. After 2 rides I took them off. The handlebars were just too thick and I did not have the proper feel on the bike. I wear XL gloves, so no small hands here. I am totally happy with the OEM grips. This is just my personal opinion.
I usually do not hold the bars tight and let the bike do its job. Elbows always slightly bent and above 60mph no pressure on the wrists/hands.
Again,just my personal experience.

Welcome from CT! Nice ride!

My '97 came with grip puppies, I took them off after the second ride as I found the grips to thick and did not have a proper feel on the handle bars. I wear glove size XL. Just my personal experience. The other grips mentioned here are interesting

Now, you got me infected! Where can I get this voltmeter? I want to put it on my '97. This is much cooler than a Digital one!

So... To actually answer the question. No, I don't think anyone here has plastered their 8th Gens with LED light strips.
Only over my dead body!
If it does not add to performance, there is no place for it!

Pretty damn good job!

Welcome from CT! Looking forward to see the result of your streetfighter build.

Cut off the tubing and fill the fitting with JB Weld or high heat epoxy. I like using old bolts as "plugs" and JB Weld them in place, but it's just for a look.
Thanks Captain, I did not ask the question but this is on my list since I have to do some maintenance on my 97. Great idea.

Wow, that is a serious dog offense. I thought it was bad when my wife fell on her face (she had a black and blue face for 2 weeks) when her dog ran after another dog.
I bet you are burning to ride the new bike! I wish you speedy recovery!

It looks like it just came out of a time capsule! Sweet!
What is the deal with your hand?
-
not OEM. Looks like the socket is for a BMW/European style jack plug.
This is where you can plug in heated gloves or jacket

I hate to admit it, but I may go for a set later in the season. Thanks for the report.

The tire shows how much fun you had! LOL!

Interesting choice! I only know Kenda as a bicycle tire manufacturer. Currently, I am running on Shinko Verge 011. Price was around $200 for the set. While the traction and tip in are good, I only get 3000 miles on front and rear. Same was for Conti motion tires which grip a little better, warm up quicker and are less sensitive to tar snakes (it seems that tar snakes becoming an art here lately) but always had a little shimmy effect on the front end, no matter how good these were balanced.
Please report on the wear and how many miles you get out of these tires. From the picture, it looks li,e these grip well at lean angle.
Thanks.

This is cool, thank you. Now, I will have to find a printer to print it in a larger size than a standard paper sheet.
