Hi All,
Came across this site when I was googling info on the rear hub rebuild I'm in the middle of so thought I'd join up. The chap on here came up with a great solution to avoid the £86 costs for the genuine roller bearing by using a similar spec bearing but ended up fabricating an oil seal solution as the non Honda bearing didn't come with this. Excellent work.
I'm trying to give the old girl a spruce up after 92,000 miles in the 18 years I've had it, so it's in bits in the garage at the moment as I work my way through the jobs list, which includes:
Swing arm bearing refresh, new shock linkage bearings, rebuild Ohlins shock, new Stator and Reg/Rec plus beefed up wiring, coolant flush and fresh 12.5W fork oil.
This is the only positive thing about the current Covid lockdown having the time to get on with this work 😁
Cheers
Steve
