I need to get rid of my 1999 5th gen VFR. I believe the rear head is cracked. Might be a valve issue might be a piston issue, not sure. Stopped running and I found no compression in cylinder 2. Pulled the head and the intake valve was stuck due to being bent. Cooling fluid in the cylinder. It breaks my heart, but I can’t put any money into it. Everything else worked fine, so if you need a parts bike, this might be good. I’m near Houston Texas. I’m planning on just selling it off to a company for scrap, but I thought I’d give y’all a shot at it first. Is anyone interested, or should I just scrap it?

Hello from Houston. I'm normally on my Vulcan 800, but I came across a good deal for a bad idea that I just couldn't pass up. I've bought a non-running 1999 VFR800 to be my next project. It's all complete but it's a "ran when parked" kinda deal. Tank had some rust but not bad, but the fuel pump assembly looks like it's toast. I might be able to get this going for less than I originally feared! I've already reaped a ton of information from this website, so I big thank you to all of you!
