1985 VF1000R and Other Projects

Acquired from original owner after twenty years or so of collecting dust and leaves on his back patio. This is a work in progress. The purchase included several new body parts, all new lenses, and several boxes of miscellaneous parts. The bike runs now and the engine sounds great. Over the next few months, all of the hydraulics will be rebuilt, new wheel bearings and so forth, fork seals and rear shock will be replaced, and away we go. -

Now - all new and improved, small-block V-8, four-speed transmission, upgraded brakes, suspension, electrical, and much, much more. It's what a car oughta be. :) -

Bought new in 1979 by yours truly. Sold in 1980. Bought back in 1995. Restored, customized, and modified in 1996 to 1997. Sold again in 2005 and shipped to Japan. Returned to the states in 2009. Bought back again in 2010. History like no other bike, with a hot-rod motor by Big D Cycles, Dallas, TX. -
