  1. You would love the Algarve, if you've not been there already.
  2. It's nice when you find something that just "works" with your bike! In this case it's a tank bag, the GIVI model EA118. I was looking for a tank bag for my Fifth Gen and discovered this bag. It's expands to 25 L, has three side pockets, uses Givi's secure easy on and off tank lock system and fits the profile of the tank perfectly. It comes supplied with a rain cover and a carrying strap. It also comes with a safety strap, which I promptly cut off as it was totally unnecessary and difficult to deploy. You will need to install the GIVI model BF03 tank lock tank ring. GIVI does not list a ring for the Fifth Gens but the Sixth Gen ring fits perfectly.
  3. Heading down next week! 🙂
  4. Thanks for the welcome JZH!
  5. While I'm at it. The one that got away!
  6. Here she is in my living room, back in the States. Stock except for the Ceriani Fork, Dunstall Exhaust, rearsets and drag bar. Unrestored, I bought her new in 1968.
  7. I'll see if I can find one. Meanwhile here is one of the Triumph in Baja.
  8. Yes, I'm just getting to know, but loving this 5th Gen. The torque comes on at much higher revs, but in many ways it reminds me of my old Ducati 900SP. Thanks for the David Silvers Spares connection Michael! Rob
  9. Thanks for the welcome MaxSwell! I’ll contribute when I can and question as needed. Rob
  10. Good to know Matt! I'm looking forward to many happy miles!
  11. Thanks Mohawk! Yes, so far that would appear to be the case.
  12. Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your donation of 5.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  13. Thanks for the welcome and the RR tip Duc2V4! Alas, I traded the SP towards the Tiger XC and regret that move to this day. It had 41mm Keihin flat-sides and a 944 kit.
  14. Boa tarde Dutchy! Thanks for the welcome and the info! I'll be in the Algarve in August, ships in the night. Let me know if you ever get to Porto.
