  1. I found a peak voltage adapter on Google images. Ten dollars for the parts and it is a simple assembly. Rosewood
  2. Thanks Cogswell, Your reply sent me to the searchable version of the manual and I found the appropriate test, pages 505 to 507. Now I must find the peak voltage adaptor for my Fluke 115. I will keep you updated with my progress on this problem. Rosewood
  3. I have a 2000 VFR 800 with 73k kms and I have just lost the spark on the second cylinder. I purchased the bike in December 2015 and it has always misfired inconsistantly at low rpm, but when run up over 6000 it had great power on full throttle. -I pulled the spark plug, it was all black, put in a new one, still same, no spark. -I swapped coils and plug caps from no. 4 to 2 and still no spark on 2. -Fitted a new lead from coil to cap, no spark. -Continuity between 2 and 4 B/W coil leads is good. Is there any way to test the R/Y coil lead to the Ignition Control Module? Do ignition modules fail in this manner? Are there any other tests I could do to help isolate the problem? Thanks in advance for any and all advice from this great forum. Regards, Rosewood
  4. Axel, That sounds great! Is there an official registration that I can access? I read that the registration was closed, is that correct? Accommodation? I am working my way through getting my bike (2000) into a decent state of tune, am almost there. Regards Terry
  5. Digitallyhip, Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of going to Nelson but I must be too late to apply now. If someone cancels I would be pleased to take that spot. Terry
  6. Looking for other VFR riders in the Metro Vancouver area. I have just acquired a 2000 VFR (blue) and after doing a few tuning items I am ready for rides. I am from North Vancouver and generally ride to Horseshoe Bay, Squamish, and Whistler as time and weather permit. I am a retired so am usually available week days or weekends. This is my first VFR and look forward to comparing notes with a few riders in the Metro Vancouver area. Regards Terry
