  1. I haven't been on the forum much the last couple of seasons with a hectic job.  Congrats on the headers they sound awesome.  I read through about half of the numerous pages and still could not find the answer that I was looking for, so for that my apologies.  Are these still available if I wanted to purchase a set for my 5th and 6th gen?  Actually I have 2 Gen 5 and a gen 6.  currently they all run great but why not modify if you can right lol.   If not then maybe in the future if there is another production run.

  2. Indiana doesn't have much in the way of twisties, but even down south you should be able to get more than 4k miles out of them if you keep the pressures right.  I cupped a front Angel GT on my '07 but I am heavy on the front brakes and its heavier than my 5th gens.

Anyone used the new Pirelli Angel GT?  What do you think of them?

    Ah-May-Zing

I got almost 10k out of my front.  The rear had 7500 on it before I got a flat and replaced it.  Looked like it could have gone a few thousand more.

If you want mileage AND grip, go Angel GT.  If you want grip, go Diablo Rosso 3.

  4. I know that you (and myself actually) have invested alot of time into this, but I am going to have to drop out at that price. I was hoping to be able to get two sets for the price that we are getting the single set for. Thanks for all of your effort on this Greg!

  5. Mike aka Mellow Dude from the famous world class Mellow Dude's Garage has offered to talk to his CNC guy to see if he can produce these.

Hell yeah, I'll take the drawings, a math model even better. I'll get a quote from my CNC guy.....

Its up to you guys but I can say from Mike's PAIR plates, front fender mounts and reg/ rectifier relocation adapters he makes some very nice stuff for VFR owners.

  6. Soooooooo, for argument's sake, is there another mirror brand and or design that might require a less complicated adapter base??? Would anyone have a suggestion about this? How about the new 8th gen? Just trying to look at it from a different angle...

    C

I was able to fit up my GSXR mirrors on my Gen 5.5 with a Ninja ZX6R base (not sure of the year). It was a PITA but worked in the end. Not as clean as what Greg and co. are going for here. So I am patiently waiting for the mount for my 6th gen with another set of GSXR mirrors in the box.

  7. Oh, it for sure is gonna happen. Just not on the scale large enough to make it cheap for us early-adopters, that's all.

I'll make a separate post once I get costs from the other vendor. Maybe that will improve things. Should also post it up on that "other" 2nd tier VFR forum as well that I'm on...(just kidding folks...)

If it will help get the overall price of these mirror mounts down...I say go for it and post it up over there!

  8. Hi Darth I Brock off my left mirror and like the gsxr mirrors on your bike. Which model and year mirrors did you use

Darth apparently has not been on this site in a very long time. That is why Greg took over the project to have the mounts made. I believe that the 2006/ 2007 ish GSXR mirrors can be used for these mounts, but I am not 100% sure.

  9. 3) Deltaboxii for a 6th gen and a 5th gen. And if they are really good and the price isn't ridiculous, I am going to buy a second set for each because these lil buggers have been the hardest pieces to get for my upgrades and I would hate to ever have to find them again if needed. so i might as well buy a second set right? :goofy:

  10. Although i have nothing to contribute to this new design, I understand that this is not your primary, full-time, paying job and that you are doing this in your spare time. I want to thank you for spending so much time on this. I patiently-but also anxiously- await for final product.

    C

Well said. I had a feeling that this was the case when we had not heard back in awhile.

Maybe it was a blessing that the delay happened to perfect the design!!!

And although the news is disappointing I appreciate the honesty and your never say die attitude! Thanks brother!
