This is a custom made seat I purchased from another vfrd member recently. Wider and flatter than stock with much more comfortable foam construction. Vinyl cover for all weather durability and water resistance. Like new condition. These are rare as Rick mayer is out of business, but if you had Russell or Bill Mayer build with the same specs it would be about $700. I purchased it from another vfrd member. I really like the plush feel of it but after 8 years on my Corbin I find it hard to switch.
$300 or best offer plus shipping in US.

Yep, I did the 5th gen engine swap in my 07 RWB last winter. I was bored! lol! It was a straight forward eng swap, all bolt-in. Pretty much the same as if just replacing the vtech engine. Used a 98 engine i found on ebay, which turned out to be about 30 miles away. So i went there and made a cash deal at $250. Swapped over all the vtech throttle bodies, sensors, coils, clutch slave, ect. Found older GSXR coils on ebay just to use the grommets from them, vtech coils stick out above the head about an inch. Had to replace the plug on the end of stator wires to match the R/R. Installed a Vfrness while i was at it. I used a Rabid Bike Racing for tuning, just let it self tune itself. Wouldnt mind having it tuned on a dyno one of these days. Runs real good! I put about 10k trouble free miles on it so far, the bike currently has 61k mile. I'm very happy with the outcome and the whine!
So in using the GXSR grommets on the VTEC coil packs, how did you secure them to the 5th gen valve covers? Which GXSR coils did you get?
The coils were from an 04 GSXR600 that I paid about $12 for on Ebay. I just pulled the grommets off them, stuck them into the holes in the head then carefully wiggled the vtech coils into the grommet that was already in the head. They hold really tight, they are not bolted down. Had to cut the mounting part off one of the coils for clearance. I check them once in a while, heaven't had a problem with them coming loose in 10k miles.

Wow what a great welcome especially coming back from a wicked 24 hour, put me on my arse, fever/bug! Very cool to see other members local/familiar with the area.
Speaking of Ephrata, check this VFR story out.
I was there on Sunday with the CB and was parked down in left field (anyone who goes late when there is a great turnout will understands this). I saw two 6th Gen VFR's a RWB and a red one black accents next to each other by the dugout if memory serves me right. RWB had a corbin seat, Red one had a Sargent seat. Well the wife and I make the rounds and headed home. She had to work so I went onto the 2nd phase of my Sunday. 40ish mile Bicycle ride on York Heritage Rail Trail.
Loaded the bicycle up on the car and headed to SW of York at a trail head and went south. Got to New Freedom PA, grabbed a bite to eat and turned around. I was only a mile outside of New Freedom on my way back north when I hear a mixed bag of motorcycle exhaust notes. Take one look and notice the one in front was a VFR, a RWB VFR actually. I looked again and the Red one was right behind followed by two cruisers that I couldn't put a make/model too.
What are the odds? Roughly 6 hours from seeing these two VFR's in Ephrata, I see them again, 60 miles away, while riding a bicycle with very spotty visibility of any road. If the timing was off by even 15 seconds, I would not have seen them.
So anyone know of two VFR owners in southern PA/Northern Maryland?
The RWB would be me! and the red one belongs to Dan, don't know his name on here.I'm from Camp Hill and Dan is from Gettysburg. Dan and
I ride almost every weekend. Give a shout if you're ever up this way! The cruisers were both Yamaha, Raider and Warrior. Then the other two with us were Guzi's. That is some crazy timing! We put on about 200 miles that day! If you would of looked close on heard whine, The RWB has a 5th gen gear drive engine swap done last winter.

Since I'm only an hour ride to Guhl's shop, I took a ride over and talked to Don about a month ago. A real nice guy!
He said since he starting this thread a while back, he hasn't seen a lot of interest in us wanting it done. He has a 6 gen ECU present that he's worked on cracking but hasnt found everything in it yet. Do to the cost of many man hours to do so, he would like to have at least ten or so people committed before it could be cost effective to go any further with reflashing. He said he would be willing to put my bike on the dyno and experiment with it once he had enough commitments to spent the time needed to finish figuring out ECU first.

I'm interested! I'm pretty close by, Hbg. 07 with two brothers and 02 eliminators. I have all the usual vtech complaints. Planning on a 5th gen eng swap sometime this winter using all the 6gen components. So i'll def need some ECU work when its complete. But till then, I could be a guinea pig!

+1 on the Oxfords! Had them on my 5th gen, need to order a set for the 6 gen soon. Had the Bike Master heated grips on it but near as nice as Oxford.

For me, the earlier the better. Get there check out some bikes. Afterwards I'm planning on riding south towards Holtwood bridge then north on the west side of the river towards Wrightsville to jump on a friends boat at Long Level.

I might be able to go to Ephrata next Sunday. I usually go 283 to 341 to 117 through Mt Gretna the 322 to Ephrata. So if I go for sure I can meet up in Highspire somewhere.

I make it to Ephrata a few times throughout the season

Camp Hill here, just rode near Lancaster last weekend.
-
Finishing up my breakfast in PA, then on the way! Should arrive sometime tomorrow afternoon.

The front half just doesn't fit secure, just held down by set cowl. I used zip ties around the two hooks that go around the cross bar on the sub frame.
was very secure. just carried a small pair of cutters in the tool kit in cause I needed to remove the seat while on the road.

I have a Two Brothers system also, the left can is real but not hooked up. I'm assuming TBR has it figured that one can give the best performance?
-
I"m thinking about trying a set of these out or staying with Q2's. I'm in need if tires before the weekend. I've seen pretty good reviews on these. Just wondering if anyone has tried these out yet?

Glad your son is ok! The bike is replaceable. By the looks of it, there's probably more damage than the value of the bike. My accident last year had less dammage and was totalled. $3400 for my 98 bike $2000 in accessories and $1000 for my gear. $6400 was a lot more than I had invested in everything, but it still sucked to see it go!

Home safe at 4:15...had a great time as always!

If there's no Catskills Run this year, I'd like to do a 2-3 camp-n-ride.... Was thinking PA grand canyon, but wherever the roads are good, I'm in.
Have a route?
I'd like to go ride in PA.
Anytime you want to ride in PA just give me a heads up...I'm always riding around here somewhere around here!

Sounds like a plan Jim. I'm going by the PA grand canyon next month on the way to Watkins Glenn. I plan on checking some good roads on the way.

Hey Timmy Can't go wrong with route 33! Brian (DDO-VFR) took part of 33 on the way to Tmac this year. It was awesome! Plan on riding more of it this weekend! Plus a lot of the other roads in the area! It was a last minute plan to ride down this weekend, it should be a good time! Come on out if you can make it?

Ventura pack, pack rack, smaller sport rack and mounting L- brackets for 6 gen. The pack is in excellent condition, I didn't use it much. The small rack has some where on the paint do to usually having a small universal pack attached for a few years. I've since switched to SW Motech rack and Givi case. Would be around $600 for everything new.
$200 obo plus shipping in the US.
