can't imagine the number of man-hours gone into this...Great Job !!!
-
that is neat...i already have one at the same spot but all intact on the 1998. I am planning to move the compressor behind to the back right cowl. lets see,,,
-
on a 98 it dropped close to 2 inch - you also need to drop the front end accordingly. I had to revert back as it was too low and was sitting speed breakers.
-
I'm a little confused about the PCV bleed.
I changed all my bleed valves out to speed bleeders and just want to make sure I didn't introduce any air in the lines in the process. Not clear to me whether I should pump the secondary master cylinder or the rear pedal to bleed air out the PCV. The secondary master cylinder pumping doesn't feel very positive. Did I screw it up if I did both?
Correct process
Front Brake
- Right outer
- Left outer
Rear brake
- Right Center Front
- Left Center Front
- (remove and Tilt the Front left CApiler to 15 degrees - to release any air bubbles to the PCV)
- PCV
- (Fit Front Left Capliper back)
- (remove wheel and rear caliper, move to 2 o'clock position)
- Rear Center
- Rear Outer
-
PS. I am most interested in what pad is best for the rear on a 5th Gen. I like OEM pads on the front but my rear brake has always felt a bit on the weak side.
because of the complexity of the LBS - all the valves need to be bleed correctly and should not have any air what so even.

The Front size is the same...If you are planning to move to LED signals remember to also change the Flasher, else you will have the signals flickering at a high speed. You could slow it down by putting a Resistor in between the bulbs but then it defeats the purpose ...loss of heat and voltage.
Right, I have read that as well. Won't be going that route. I am looking for the high flash rate.
and the guy behind getting epileptic :)

has it helped you the way you brake ?
-
should i lean out or rich it at the 0% Throttle...i have moved it +35 and the popping still happens ...feel its got worse on a cold engine.
-
-
increased the 0-throttle @ 3000 to 3500 from 0 to 4, and also at 2-throttle. it took the popping away but the bike ran like crap. at 3500 on other throttles. starts to "surge" and hesitate. finally the FI light came on. this sucks...any ideas ???
-
This likes the old PC. Have installed mine but getting popping at deaccelrate btw 3000/3500 rpm. At what Throttle should i change the %'s...0 or 2. Also should i increment 2% at a time ?

cant see any of the images

why are you idling at 2K ?
-
I am waiting for mine. Does this also have a Shift light / gear light indicator ?
-
great job....like to see some more closeups. Just ordered my GIPro-X so should get that soon. Like to have some installation pics and wiring.
thanks

That is what I assumed. Those plug wires look short and sure to be exposed at the front side. Enure you use some silicon joint to water proof them
-
What is the added advantage of moving to these coils ?

Hi
Thanks for such a good response. I had thought about adding the signal to this but not too sure how it will look. The existing signal and these are too close - might end up looking like a Christmas tree :laughing6-hehe:
Since the light is flushed/frosted it does not bother me. I will have to take it out again to give it a proper finish - still struggling to get a good frosted look.

ST1100 throttle cables work ...i have them...routing them is a trick as they hit the dash on the top...so have to route them between the fork tube and the steering T instead
Choke cable is an issues so still hunting for the long ones.
