It's a VFR 800 with what looks like a nearly new nice and clean chain and sprocket, badly scraped and scratched wheel, and a filthy swingarm...........
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! (plus a cam mount)... and a N'ring sticker to boot.
As far as filthy swingarms go, Timmy & I rival each other. Heck, I don't see it while I'm riding!

Digging the coolant hoses! I have to do mine as I have a leak in the V (again). Thinking of going this route.
Any tips? I culled the list from the thread you mentioned, I'll source them locally if I can.
If you want to copy this you will need to order the list below. I tried using armoured flexi hose for the hose that wraps round the front of the generator & the lower hose from the right rad to the Y piece, but it would not seal on the upper mount or the Y, so it got replaced with straight hose & 2 x 45degree bends.
The list;-
3 x 45degree 25mm id elbow (one for lower left rad to Y, 2 to make hose round generator cover)
1 x 90degree 25mm id elbow (Thermostat to right rad fill cap, lower half)
1.5M straight 25mm id hose (Thermostat to right rad fill cap, upper half / Rad to Rad top hose / Water pump to Y / Right rad lower to Y )
0.5M straight 11mm id hose (Water pump to Thermostat bypass hose)
0.25m straight 19mm id hose (Front & Rear cylinders to Thermostat / Front to Rear cylinders above generator. Just enough so measure carefully)
1m straight 6.5mm id hose (Thermostat bleed to front inside top of right Rad)
0.25M straight 25mm OD Alloy Tube (to use as joiners on 2 piece right rad hose (75mm) & 2 piece round the generator hose (62mm)
4 x 25-35mm Hose clamps (to join the 2 piece replacement hoses)
Any additions to the list above?

Becky and I arrived safely at home. Mr. R1 just checked in as well.
Hope everyone in the Bullet Hole Rd group had a great time and I apologize for that road. Billy goats need not apply.

I will try to remember one

The 'Carver' crew - white 5th gen... can't wait to see that! (Yet another color of primer, right Timmy?)
Yeah, uh that ain't white...
Then your camera phone sucks!!! Sure looks like white from here! :)
-
IIRC there is no slow group, unless there is a need. We have routes for intermediate and intermediate (faster).
We'll go the pace for the group. Seb - do you have an updated list?

Be warned: the colored markers flow charts and spreadsheets are out and in full swing :)

So, me being an idiot aside, why wont my nuvi pick up the routes? I pit them in the gpx directory reboot the nuvi click my data, then import.
' no data available '
Ugh.

I haven't seen a PM yet, Keith.
-
BTW, last year I plotted out Seb's routes into Garmin .gdb format. If it helps, I can do it again, but I haven't noticed anything posted on this thread. If it isn't already done and somebody PM's me a route (google or whatever) I'll give a go again.
Brian
Ah ha! Thanks for spurring my memory Brian! Look for a PM from me tomorrow!
Really need to learn how to do that myself at some point.
Hear hear! or is that here here! I really need to learn how... I've downloaded gpsbabel but just waiting for Seb's PM to jack it into a garmin file....

Seb:
Ship me the gmap link and I'll see what I can do...
-
Who are the leads this year? I can volunteer to sweep for Intermediate.
Seb/Brian: I'll be watching my PM for routes (please and thank you)
-
Keep trying... I tried later at night (9pm) when Seb first posted up, then again the next day at 0630. Finally got through...
-
Might be able to pull off some Sunday morning riding...
Any status on FIRE?
-
Say, Seb, did you inquire about a fire pit? Beverages in the parking lot, and other such sundries?
-
I made my reservations last night but didn't feel like I was communicating effectively. I called back just now and still don't think they understand. I left my cell phone number for Brian to call me back.
I recommend you grab a beer and prepare to call several times to get someone on the line, then speak slowly and be patient, and you just might get a room.
Keith, you are not the only one... and I even spoke with Brian. Maybe it had to do with me calling at 0615, mayhaps he was not yet awake...
-
Can I make a furniture comment?
oh, please do!!
I think maybe I'll save them... I don't know what the headboards look like yet.
Ahem. This has been noted.

Left to do:
Shorten chain (waiting on the chain tool)
Change oil (need to go to Wal*Mart and pick up oil, going to use a bosch filter this time)
wax plastic and tank
reassemble the body work
Figure out what the extra screws nuts and bolts are for.
Almost done!
Chain - turns out I was at 108 links with the +3 rear, so I broke the chain for nothing other than learning how to stake a master link - done.
Coolant leaks - Fixed
Tupperware - waxed & back on
Bed in the brake pads ride - check
w000t! I'm done.
Steering head bearings will wait until next year.
Digging the DCPLAL Levers. LOOOOOVING the EBC brake pads!
I am going to shut down vfrd soon

I would have never met so many cool, knowledge people w/o VFRd.
Most folks don't keep a job for 21 years now a days, let alone run a server for which the passion has faded.
Congratulations HS, and thank you.
