  1. I agree with CornerCarver. I ran Mobil 1 red cap in my VFR for years and years. I thought the shifting was kind of notchy, so put in the Factory Pro kit. It helped some, but still wasn't what I thought it should be and would get worse as it got closer to an oil change. I just learned to live with it. Last year after riding the bike for 10 years, I switched brands of oil and all of the sudden the thing shifts butter smooth. Shame on me for waiting so long to try something different. Everyone talked about how great the red cap stuff was, so I figured the shifting issue was just my bike.

Im using motul full synthetic and like you after years of red cap found shifting way smoother with the Motul

  2. Ok Folks Well i can't find my trusty ol 15 50 mobil 1 here in the great white north in 4.4 or 5 litre jugs( been using it for 8 years) so i'm switching ( i think) to 5 w 40 Rotella T6. However having read this entire thread a few folks said it T6 was terrible in the tranny dept. The one thing i always noticed was the smoother shifting with the mobil 1 and am concerend the T6 is not that great in this regard so looking for more feed back on how the T6 is in the shifting dept , is it really that bad or not a concern and go for the switch????

    Thanks in advance

  3. Now that is some awesome power right there :fing02: :fing02:

    Now, here is the evidence...

Red line = pre charger install.

Green line = A&A Perf. european charger map.

    Blue line = Custom map.

I had the dyno recorded, here are my compilation of the goodies

  4. Mobile One, gold cap, but only because it is was what most every one was using on here when I first got the VFR.

Never put synthetic in the car or truck

Same here, and I have no complaints about the Mobil 1 either. Made shifting smoother, but never have tried any other synthetics.

  5. Well I had a ready Big day in my track bike project. Can't believe the HUGE advances I'm made in just one day.

    The list is as follows:

    - Inverted forks with Radial brakes

    - Radial master cyl.

    - Major weight reduction

    - GP style low stubby exhaust

    - Advanced electronics

    - 30 plus HP gain

    - just an awesome pkg.

All in one day! Here is what it looks like today!

 I stoled this bike, couldn't believe what I got it for!

It's a 2007 GSXR750 with only a few thousand miles on it before someone crashed it, I bought it as is and it has a Non-Repairable Title which is fine with me for a track bike.

Sounds crazy to be buying a bike w/o a job, but if I need to I could sell this in a few days for twice what I paid for it.

So if I have to I'll flip it and take the money I will, but if I get a job it will become my track ho! It's exactly what I was hoping to move up to whenever the time came. A win/win for me.

The hooligan VFR track project will still go forward as I have most parts I need to do so.

My mother always told me "never ask how much someone paid for something" But she aint here so how much ?

  6. Especially from a guy who likes his sleeman

Yep, my "A$$" has been took care of a lot better since meeting Ken also.........

Yep....but not to worry, you'll get plenty of warning. It's not until he gives you that "come hither" look that you'll to check your 6.
