A week ago on my way to work a very young new driver pulled out in front of me. I had no chance to stop in time and looking ahead had oncoming traffic. I ended up colliding with her front right headlight. My poor 6th gen took most of the impact and we slid a long ways. My bike is totaled, but thanks to good practice of all the gear all the time I only have a strained shoulder and a tiny break in my finger.

  What a nightmare. Glad you're okay. Been there and all you can do is try to lessen the impact by throwing out the anchor with an eye for any way to steer away at the last second. Sounds like you did all you could ATGATT!
