Beautiful picture. I would agree with the calendar shot, but it's the wrong orientation.
-
Looks like the 6th gen version of HS's "Ole' Gal".
-
Those colors are throwing me off! I see the ABS ring and the preload adjuster but the calipers are black instead of gold?
-
Sorry to disappoint MaxSwell, but this is a silver '05. It's just the lighting that makes it look lighter.
Both times I've done the Star School, they did NOT require taping of any lights. They only required the head lights and brake lights to be non-working/unplugged. Which is kinda odd because I've done two different track days at the same track, and they required the tape. I would have guessed that it would be track dependant, but evidently it's more who is operating the track time.

I should really pull the bike out and at least ride it enough to put some fresh gas in it. It has been neglected for the past few months.
-
That's an expensive looking wheelie bar!
-
I was thinking this may be the first featured photo that I can remember without a bike in it. OTOH, I've traveled through B.C. 3 times on the way to or from Alaska, and this area of BC may be the most beautiful place in North America.
-
I don't see the "VFRD" across the windsceen, so I'd guess it's not him. But I do like the shot.
-
Does Bill own any other hats? I've yet to see him either without that hat or a helmet on his noggin.

No mirrors on the track which is where this was taken.

Going back again in August for Pridmore's Star School. This time my focus will be on form, as mine leaves a little to be desired. Will most likely leave the side bags at home this time as well.

Dork! Featured.
Agreed! I guess he didn't need to winterize the bike afterall. :fing02:
-
...... I prefer the paved roads, unlike some of the kansas adventurers.
Everybody can ride a VFR on the paved roads. :491:

:idea3:Given the cost of bags, get those feelers on quickly!!!!
No can do. The left peg has already be ground off to the point where a new feeler can't be threaded in. Obviously the grinding was done without the bags attached.

Dragging....Saddlebag?
Featured.
Not in this turn but, I'm here to say, if you run without the peg feelers, the bags drag before anything else. Hence no sparkles in my pic.

.... I have not washed mine in days...
Days???? I guess I shouldn't mention that I've only washed mine 2-3 times since the Summer Summit in August of 2009.
-
featured, no doubt this is probably Push Mountain right?
I will comfirm that H.S. This was taken in April on his return run after he saw me to the other side.

Does the strip mounted on the top of your windscreen stop/reduce buffeting? If so, where can I get one?
The strip that you are speaking of is part of the MRA touring windshield. Found here from Twisted Throttle where I got mine. Pretty decent screen so far. I put it on just before the Summer Summit last year. During the cold weather and rain, I adjust the movable portion all the way up, otherwise it's always in the down position, like you see in this picture. Hope this helps.

This makes me wonder why Honda got rid of gear driven cams.
This was 100% my fault. I failed to tighten the lock-nut on my manual CCT.
-
With the cams removed, all valves "should be" seated. Obviously the closest outside two are not.
-
You can see in this picture where the valves contacted the pistons. The outside top of each piston has some carbon knocked off of it. This is where the two pieces that should never touch kissed each other.
-
If you open this picture, you can see at the 12 o'clock position where the cam chain was running along and wore the back side of the cam gear.
-
I thought I took it? Anyway, we both know this guy and he runs a mean grill.
More than one camera there that day
I guess since it comes from your gallery, it would stand to reason you took it; I missed that part on my first viewing. I'm sure the one I took for him didn't come out that well. Props to HS and his mad camera skillz!

I 2nd Lee's comment. Well done in completing things on a VFR that makes other people cringe.
