how do you remove the wiring harness from a 2006 800?

Hi all!

I've had a short of some kind and found my harness almost on fire!

Wires have melted through on the left hand side by the throttle bodies so have started removing the loom to check it and replace it.

I can't seem to get the plug for the Fi until on the right out, beside the fuse box. Are those security bolts in there with the heads off or am I missing something? The bolts are too close together to just pull the connector plug down and out between them and the case is welded to the headlight/fairing bracket so cannot be removed that way.

Also, does the subframe need to come off? I've managed to get all wires over to the left side but where it runs from rear, battery point to front, under the frame, it looks tight and messy.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
