This is specifically about the VFR1200F, but I suspect it would also apply to any ABS equipped Honda.
What are the characteristics of the vehicle speed signal sent to the main ECU - probably from the ABS ECU to which the Wheel Speed Sensors connect.
On the 1200, the ABS ECU drives each WSS and reads the speed signal returned, modifies it to some extent and passes that on to the main ECU, but what exactly is that signal. I'm pretty sure the 1200 WSSs produce a square wave and it is likely that it is another square wave being passed on to the main ECU, but is it 5V amplitude? I think it probably is, but that is a guess.
Has anyone put an oscilloscope onto this speed signal to the ECU? I'd be interested in what was seen on any Honda, but ABS ones would be of particular interest.
