All the pictures on here for mounting luggage show the racks on top of the grab handles. Is it possible to mount them without them? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Member Contributer gradus Posted June 2, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted June 2, 2011 If you were to mount them without the grab rails, you'd have a funny looking gap around the mounting point (which is usually covered by the grab rails) and the screws would stick up too high since they usually go through the grab rail. I had looked at that thread earlier and totally missed those pictures. I'd like to get grab rails for the pillion, but luggage is more of a priority at this point and the grab rails don't seem to be in surplus around here.
