Guest Action
I posted in another thread how I missed cleaning up a small amount of brake fluid off the back side of the front reservoir. Naturally it blew up onto the inside of the wind screen as I took it for a ride. It etched the screen with a bunch of small, opaque dots (only the larger spots show in the pic.s). Not a big deal but the screen always looked dirty. I couldn’t get them all the way out but I lightened them up enough so you can barely see them. I started out with some fine cut rubbing compound which worked to lighten up the spots but left a bunch of fine scratches. I then went with a lighter compound to start polishing out the scratches. I then used a clear coat paint cleaner and finally plastic polish. I used a foam applicator to apply and polishing cloth to buff off. After about 4 hours of rubbing it came out pretty nice for a 4 year old screen.
