rikkvfrrrrrr
to continue on the honda & after market pipes What do riders who have the plx v35 givi bags done to get their bags to fit over the aftermarket exhaust? Remus is my issue But what about; Staintunes. Remus Leo Vince BOS, Two Brother's Microns Scorpion trying to figure out which way to go
Guest
I have the V35, and i'm installing the Laser deeptones tomorrow. I'll send pictures. The V35's dont hug the bike as closely as the factory hardbags, and from the looks of my v35's...you could probably fit any exhaust you want under there. Looks like alot of room. rikkvfrrrrrr
Can you tell me what the distance is between the tubing, at the point your pipes are widest? I measured left pipe to right pipe outside edge. Remus = 16.5 inches Stock = 14.5 Sounds like I need an extra inch on each side overall, but the stock pipes are angled, so the widest point is higher by about an inch. rikkvfrrrrrr
for the record i'm adding this info that was so kindly provided back channel: from stinky Find Member's Posts Re:help with the givi v35 please?, Jul 4 2008, 05:01 PM Club Racer Group: Members Posts: 44 Member No.: 9,729 Joined: October-28 06 Hey no problem I took some pictures if you want a better view http://s149.photobucket.com/albums/s77/RodentsPics/ With the tape going over the top hole I would say you have about 18 inches and through the bottom about 16 inches. If you want I could pop a bag off and get a better measurement. I don't mind and would be happy to do it. Randy I'll add to what randy said, Yesterday I 'twisted' my remus cans to about a 60 degree tilt Now they are 16" at the top/widest and 14.5" at the bottom/narrowest That's plenty of room from the Givi plx166 rack, and a tight fit that would probably work for the honda bags
