2003 VFR Sixth Gen (Northern California)

Recommended Posts

I'm sadly selling my 2003 Sixth Gen VFR800 Interceptor. I'm the age that I needed to get something more upright.

Have tons of pics on the Craigslist ad:

This machine has been lovingly taken care of while in my possession for the last 8,000 miles. The prior owner and I have maintained meticulous records. She runs great, and aside from the rectifier/stator failing (which is a common issue for these machines) has always started right up and ran strong. The VTEC V4 engine is silky smooth and delivers awesome power.

- Factory tool kit
- Registration good through 6/2024
- Always hangared or covered, never ridden in the rain. This was my fair weather bike.
- New Michelin Road 6 tires (1,062 miles)
- Helibars handle bar risers (have the original bars also)
- Have a spare 15T front sprocket (came with the bike, but I put the factory one back on)
- Spare K&N Oil filter
- Wired for battery tender
- Locking Honda rear luggage trunk
- Ram stem ball mount
- At 40,105 miles, Tip to tail inspection by Honda service center including valve clearance check.
+ bearings ok
+ steering ok
+ swing arm and linkage ok
+ suspension and seals ok
+ chain adjusted
+ sprockets ok
+ valve clearance check ok

Within the last 200 miles:

- New stator and rectifier from RMSTATOR
- Aftermarket USB power outlet and volt meter
- New battery (Lithium Phosphate Powerpsonic HyperSport)
- Changed oil and filter (Motul 5100 4T10-40, K&N 204-1 filter)
- Changed clutch and brake fluid
- Checked and topped off coolant

I did drop the bike at zero mph on the side of the road in loose dirt and was intending to sand and paint the side fairing. I bought a new set to keep the bike up and running while I did that, so the bike comes with TWO complete sets of fairings.

This bike is turn-key and ready to ride home. Asking $4,000 OBO. Reasonable offers will be entertained, low ball offers will not be responded to. Not looking for a trade.

Typical: M1, helmet, and cash in hand to test ride.

Here's one pic so you don't have to visit Craigslist if you don't want to.
