Can't help you in Canada. Probably best to make your way over to the Vermont/QC border in a relatively direct manner. Cross over into Vermont. If you need to make time, just follow Interstate highway I-89. Otherwise I'd recommend getting over to Route 100. It's the classic north-south motorcycle traveling road. Generally good sweepers, not too technical, but enjoyable on a motorcycle and makes decent time. Plus, it minimizes the route numbers you'd have to follow! I've pasted a link to a Google map below that might help.

Thanks AP, I wanted to stay away from going through QC/VT border. I will look at the Ogdensburg option. ON/NY border crossing.

I'm planning on heading down from Ottawa as well. It'll likely be an early start on Friday heading towards Ogdensburg. There are many very interesting roads between here and there. We usually do a Ottawa to North Conway every spring. Here are some of routes that I usually take. Just have to modify the last chunk from the to scoot down to Westeros or hook down through Rutland. The portion through NY are usually pretty good. The first route is my favourite. It's shorter at only 491kms with editing.

> Route South (via Ogdensburg, Tupper Lake, Tracy Road, Crown Point,
> 125, 25A, 118, 112):

I'm booking my hotel room now. If you are interested in riding down on the Friday, let me know.

I just looked at the google map suggestion. That might be good for rain, but the traffic in Mtl and cross the border is nasty. I like the VT100/104 but not as much as I hate the interstates.
