Vfrness Help

I did the wiring upgrade (thicker gauge wire)

3x 12g from R/R to stator plug

1x 10g positive form R/R to starter relay

1x 10g ground from R/R right back to battery

On wiremybike.com its says to start from the stator plug but i feel my wires still getting hot on stator side

so i was wondering if i should go 12gauge the whole way or maybe just cut a few inches of cooked wires ?

and have a crimped connection  or soldered right in maybe?

any helps or tip greatly appreciated
