2004 w/abs with 60000km (Canadian model). During brisk acceleration the engine completely loses power momentarily. It's an intermittent occurence, it's happened in first, second, and third gear. It's like grabbing the brake for a split second, enough to jerk me forward. The tach goes to zero and then comes back and it continues to accelerate. It seems like the bike momentarily shuts off. I did have one occurence where it completely died and I had to restart. I suspect a bad ground but I have no idea how to diagnose an intermittent ground issue like that. The FI light is not on nor flashing. It seems to be running normally in all other respects. Battery has good voltage and charges normally. The battery ground is good and the multi wire (20 pin) ground connector, which is grey on my bike and not yellow or orange, is clean and has good grounds. I have the vrfness installed and a Rick's stator and R/R which are almost two years old. The plugs are one year old. Any help is greatly appreciated.

From the album: The Big Loop
My first run of the Cherohala Skyway. I slid through right between massive squalls. The approach from 129 was wet, but after that, everything was dry, I had the whole Skyway for myself, and I rolled up to this overlook just in time for one of the most glorious sunsets I'd ever seen. In ten minutes it was gone, as the sun went away, and fog swept in through the valley, and I had it all to myself. That's some baraka right there.- 13 comments

Honda VFR vtec 2004 abs pulsing/wobbling brake issue
Havicon posted a topic in Maintenance Questions
Hi. I've got 2004 sixth gen vfr and have issue about brakes. Front brakes gives wobbly feel when i press it but don't have that problem with linked back brake. i've cleaned sockets, pistons and checked pads they were all fine. Im starting to think one of the discs is bent. I might give a shot to bend it back cause in worst case scenario i need to replace it anyways. The question is do i need to replace both front discs or can i just switch one? Does having one new and one old disc affect handling in any major ways? -
4 years ago today, I brought my sixth gen home. Took him for a little run this morning to work and he feels just as smooth as the day we met (if not better). We've covered almost 50,000mi since then and I'm looking forward to 50K more (and then some).
