Hi guys, Some time ago I thought about trying to convert my RC36 third gen into an RC30 (bodywork). After realizing it was a bit too enthusiastic due to a busy job and (lovely) family, I went for a more easy update. The project is close to being finished, so I thought I'd post some pictures and provide some info that might be helpful for those who are thinking of a conversion. This picture is taken after my very first spray paint job some years ago when my fairings were damaged after a low-speed crash in winter (I never ride again when it freezes). Not the best paint job, but I was happy I fixed everything. This was the starting point for a more thorough update later on. More pics will follow shortly.

Hi all, I'm getting to that time of the year, when I get antsy and want to change something on the Viffer... I've had it go down in the trailer, en route to Alabama last February, and haven't gotten around to mending the cracked fairings... so I was thinking, while I'm at it - why not Switch out the forks, breaks etc. for something much better.. I've heard that the 200-2001 RC51 front clip is a good candidate, but has anyone actually done it? Does it require any completely custom fabricated pieces? What to look out for etc.. My forks are fine, but I was just curious if there were other upgrades on the suspension side of things. I was also curious if there are advantages and options to looking at a upgrade/more modern rear shock? Would a late 90's CBRR or early 00's VTR RC51 rear shocks fit? Any advantages? I'm more prone to spirited touring, than track, as far as the riding style goes.. Anyone out there have any first hand experience? much appreciated!

Greetings from Russia, from Far East! I want to share my restore vfr 750f rc36 1991, to Your. My VFR was bought by the guy from the far,far away Russian village Planned manufacturing streetfighter , but inspiration has ended . Came the idea conversion to VFR800 VTEC 2003 . I did not see VFR750F in VFR800 body...so I decided to try to let everyone know that this is possible . Plastic was purchased with injuries after an accident . Hastily rebuilt , for the draft . At the moment, that's such a result . In the future, it will be installed: VFR800VTEC head light, new fairing, new front subframe. P.S the fuel tank in the photo, removed for repair P.S.S. Thx to Google Translate ^_^

2002 VFR non-abs bought a 929 shock from JD about 5 years ago, finally getting around to installing it. old shock out, cleaned up everything in there, ready to fit new shock in. I've lost my notes from researching this and the other forums. Where im at right now is the bracket that holds the proportioning valves for the linked brake system. The bracket which spans left to right is obstructed by the reservoir on the new shock. I know the valves need to be firmly fixed, so Im thinking I need to carefully crop out the center section, refit the left & right sections of the bracket, mount the valves. But now the center section has to be fastened somewhere because it serves as a mount for the rear brake line. Would it be advised to weld/fasten it to the rear sub frame or a different location? If anyone has done this conversion, please let me know if I'm on the right track! Thnx
