Im 5'9 with long legs and have no issue with them. When I first got them I hit my shin once or twice and haven't really ran into the problem after. Would highly recommend these.

*Update* Was able to get the new mirrors on ran me abt 160 for all parts and shipping. That connector boot nestled behind the dash was hard to get to but I got it out with some good ol fashioned cursing 😂 Gonna restick my convex bubble mirror with some heavy duty double sided tape and its all good. Would really recommend the convex mirrors btw. Think they were the 1.5 inch on revzilla

Also just wanted to note that those T-Rex sliders are a godsend cannot recommend them enough!

It would have made more sense, to me at least, if they put the lever for the center stand on the opposite side of the side stand, especially given the weight. That way you'd be more likely to hold it up coming back into you then going away. And if it did go away youd have the side stand to save you. For now I've decided to leave it until i come back from break. Thanks Grum for the diagram, however I already removed the inner visor and tried to trace back the wire and only found the sheath which is kinda deep behind the dash. Wasnt able to see or feel any connector like the diagram shows halfway down. If it is that deep might have to remove the front fairing or dash and at that point I might as well just splice the wires after i cut them to remove and replace the housing. maybe im blind or didnt give it a good enough look but ill be prepared to deal with both possibilities when i get back.

Yeah, theres a lip in the front that deflects the tire to the right, when it rolled back forward after failing to get it all the way up it full deflected and started going down. Had no problems getting my ninja 400 upright when it started tipping, this bike is 100lbs more and i can hold for a few seconds and then it starts slowly going down. Didn't even drop it hard 😞

Bike fell over in the garage today while trying to put it up on the center stand. Even though i have the t-rex sliders, which luckily saved the paint today, the mirror hit the wall and broke at the swivel joint, as it didnt articulate all the way back. I removed the dash cover and bolts from the mirror but cant find the connector to detach the wires. I havent been able to find any info on this site or on VFR world as the files/pictures describing how to remove them are gone. If anyone could give me some help on how to disconnect the mirror electronics and the part number for replacement I would greatly appreciate it. Its a real shame, was planning to drive back home this weekend for spring break and ride around DFW and now I cant 😞 This bike is so damn heavy I can hold it only a good 10-15 seconds at half tilt before it goes all the way over, very frustrated.

Did all the US 800Fs come with the badges? I don't have them on mine.

Hello, I recently moved out of a big city and found that cops are pretty sneaky out in the country. I got a 200-dollar ticket in the twisties and was just wondering what y'all recommend. I know some people will say, "Go the speed limit!" but what fun is a motorcycle if you can't lean it over 😄 Was looking at things like the adaptive TPX 2.0, Uniden R5, etc. let me know if any of these have worked particularly well for you, thanks!

Just installed my power commander 6 yesterday with the tune from dynojet, and so far i love it. Smoothed out the throttle at low speed, not nearly as much off/on throttle. In addition, the mid range has much more power available and vtec transition has been smoothed out very nicely. In terms of gas mileage i wouldn't recommend this tune for touring purposes, the stock tune is just fine for that, but for street fun and commuting duty it works very nicely, gas mileage at 70 in 6th was about 56-8, starts dropping off after that down to 40ish at 80. Anyways I found it very much worth the money and would recommend this to other vfr owners.

Just bought a dynojet power commander 6 today and was wondering if anyone had a particularly good tune for the 8th gen or if i should just use the one provided by dynojet with the aftermarket slip on. Would like to tune it myself a little bit as i get more familiar with it and add more parts down the road like shorter velocity stacks and new air filter. Im trying to get a performance tune with a degree or two of timing on the safe side and im ok with a bit more fuel usage but not crazy. Even if someone has an aggressive tune id like to compare it with what dynojet offers. If anyone has more information than me id very much appreciate it.

Not sure about the clutch slave cylinder, but you will want to run some carb cleaner and get the old fuel out if there was any left in the tank, check hoses and such for the fuel system, also check for rust in the tank. All that is if you left fuel in the tank but if you haven't you still just want to give it all a good look around. Might already know most of this but a reminder cant hurt. That's all I got but I'm sure some more knowledgeable people will come along.

Took me a minute to figure out how to install it and get it all off but it looks very good and is solid. Thank you for the help it looks much better now

Unfortunately, they dont have any fender eliminators for this year otherwise i would have gone that route. If you know one for a different year i can modify slightly to fit this bike id appreciate the feedback. But for right now the diy is gonna have to do it. Also, much more stable on the highway especially with wind, used to have to fight it to keep the bike straight sometimes.
