I must have missed this, but do we need extension cables for the O2 sensors?

On my 8th gen, (not so sure about the others, one would have to go back to the beginning of the thread to be sure) the O2 port is moved backward so one needs an extension harness/cable. Found mine here on amazon, if you do a search like I said above, you can find other retailers. I bought this because of 2 day shipping as my bike is already apart.

I would send you a link to the exact O2 sensor extension cable I purchased on ebay to extend our 8 gen test bike’s cable, but that seller no longer offers the item. Other sellers do, though, but you’ll have to check the photos carefully and compare connectors with the ebay listing photos. I can tell you that the first cable I purchased was described as for Acura and looked correct at first glance, but had a slightly different connector. The cable that worked was described as being for a Honda Civic, and the photos in the listing showed that the connector was an exact match for the 8 gen harness connector.

Thanks. A friend told me it was the for a Honda Civic but the ones I kept finding didn't seem to match. However, your post spurred me to check again and after trying many combinations of search parameters, I eventually stumbled on one I think is the right one. I'll know for sure when it arrives tomorrow.

PS. The one that seems to match is for a "Honda Civic SI". Just searching for "Honda Civic Oxygen extension harness" will keep bringing up the wrong connectors.

On the very first post in this thread there are some comments on the design Parameters, One Was that the collEctor diameteR would be 2 inch and mid pipes would need to be modified to suit.

Haha... I did read through from page one once... but now we are at 46 pages, and I'm sure most who did, forgot soon after😂. Its a easy fix though

Question: Does the gen5 and gen8 have a larger exit diameter? cause mine arrived with a tube diameter larger than the OEM exhaust??? I had to chop the end off the OEM exhaust and weld it onto the new one, no biggie for me but I wonder how others with 6th gen's went or did mine get missed during fab I wonder?

I have the 8th gen and a 2 brothers exhaust and mine wont fit either. Tried the OEM and it didnt fit too. I'm taking the mid pipe for the 2 brothers to a shop this morning to have it expanded so it can fit.

Anyone taken a swing at putting on a set of the new batch of 8th Gen headers? My shop is having trouble getting a good fit of the gaskets. They used the gaskets that were available with the headers. Any feedback or advice on getting these installed leak free?

Page 11 of this thread talks about the gaskets. I followed those (and from discussions with a buddy) and ordered a set of 42mm washers from Delkevic. I got on the phone with them yesterday and they said they just had some come in. You might want to hurry up if you want that as they are almost always not in stock (this particular size, no idea why). Been checking for the past 2 weeks before I finally contacted them.
