I love that area. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to ride to portland where my buddy lives from Los Angeles a couple summers ago, via the coast. It was unforgetable, although time kept me from seeing the entire Oregon coast like I had hoped. But I5 through the mountains wasnt bad either though....

And wow, nice pic from Balltown, Iowa. I was just through there this last weekend goin up the river; it looks like that picture was taken from that viewpoint on the edge of town?

We were up there about 3 weeks ago, stayed at the Landmark for the weekend.

Yeah, I was just about to post the same exact comment! My father took old 66 from Chicago out West last year, but not quite to CA. He said it really does take forever, but it's cool just being on it. I had been planning taking that back from my "Out West" ride this summer if I do it. Good pics though.

Great pic of the bridge. We've got a similar covered bridge here in Cedarburg, WI just a mile or so north of me; I'll have to copy your idea! LOL Was that taken recently?
