  1. Good that you asked.....

cos with the oem bolts out I could measure the washer...

    attachicon.gifIMAG0362.jpg

18.7mm (and not the <17mm reported but that may be not those on a 4th gen)

    so....................

I *could have* bought the blue 19mmPro-bolts... I was cautious for nothing... :-(

the black ones I bought are as specified, 18mm

and I put an 18mm SS washer underneath

wait.. waaaaaaaaaiiiitttttt. so your saying the 18mm diameter ones i have are no good and i need 19mm?

  2. a m6 bolt with a m5 washer??

(Note, I'm an accountant, not a techie....)

I measured the pressure plate hole that accommodate the springs:

    attachicon.gifIMAG0288.jpg

    21mm

The M5/M6 Probolt washers have a 19mm OD, leave 1mm "room" on either side

The original bolts have a 16.7 mm washer, which has a little lateral play, so in effect has 2mm "room" on either side.

I will let the technie's chip in to say if this is of concern or not.

If not, what is the view on using the aluminum (comes in color) bolts? Too weak must use stainless?

the holes themselves are 61mm "deep"

But there is "only" 33mm thread; so no worries if bolts are a bit longer

(I put in a M6 bolt with 40mm thread length and it "stopped" with 7mm to go)

the only real question for me is if the 19mm washer will work

  3. I thought about it but didn't find any during a brief search. The bolt size is M6x1

would you know the bolt length seb?

if i can get the length of the clutch bolt and the diameter of the washer part of the head of the bolt. i can maybe find something and test it out.
