Great post, great pic, great kid. Thank you for your service.
PS -- remember that if/when you recon behind enemy lines, don't engage the VTEC. . .. :warranty:

OK.......... I just tried another RAM setup for the Tank mount.
I found that often with my stem mounted electrical outlet, I do not have room for some plug ins especially when I use my BMW/Cig adapter. With a straight BMW plug I had no no problem but I made another change so I can better use the Cig dodads.
I had Jastek make up a right angle plug to solve that problem. In fact, I had them fashion a split plug to the Zumo and the Sirius, so I can pull the Zumo as needed without messing with the mount. . .. Works well. :fing02:

I think they mean the three ball extended and then weighted. This setup uses a short arm off the gas tank so there isn't much extension loading. I used a short arm for the zumo and a medium arm for the satellite radio (I didn't have 3 short arms). The power comes from a custom Jastek cord to a steering stem outlet. Custom satellite radio rain cover by Ziplock.
This setup held for my recent 4 day 2600 mile loop. I can move the zumo or sirius back to the resevoir mount if need be. Ride safe. :goofy:

I'll second every good thing about the Zumo.
I'll add that I had powerlet fashion a steering stem cord for the zumo and the sirius. Simplifies wiring.
I'm also trying Ram's triple ball mount -- it allows me to mount the zumo and the sirius radio off the gas tank ball mount.
I only have two short stems, so I used a medium off the gas tank ball mount, and then the two short stems for the gadgets.
Seems to have worked ok on my recent 4 day/2600 mile tour.
This thing?
That's the one!

This thread got me. The content is amazingly helpful.
PCNation now has one less Zumo to sell.

You may want to check out the TV show "House." In the show, the Hugh Laurie character (Dr. House) uses a cane and rides a Repsol Honda -- modified to carry his cane.

I get away with viewing the parking pass and badge through the tank bag map section. I'd go with a retractable otherwise.
