After a brief email exchange with the funk-meister I'm in.. Sadly I'm currently VFR-less but from what I hear I won't be the only one so I'm in good company. Leaving Hillsboro around 0600 tomorrow should hit Nelson around 1400 ish

Last minute change of plans are interesting... Going to check on lodging but if I can get that sorted I'll be there

Thought it was 18 bikes. I rolled into the house about 530 tonight. I'm sure you guys had a more pleasurable ride than I did. Saw 6 cops in the 45mph safety corridor going over Hood. Did everybody get their tire issues sorted out when you guys hit Bend?

Big shout out to Choco for leading some phenomenal rides. I had a blast meeting all you guys and gals. Can't wait for the videos and pics to get posted up. Ride safe tomorrow and on the return journeys for all of you

Just got here and checked in. Gonna have to run up to the Yamaha dealer and see if I can pick up a pair of riding boots.

So it doesn't look like the fires are going to impact our ride to Baker City but I may have to tag along all the way to Prineville with you guys as there is a huge fire on 26 near Mitchell.

Looking at the Baker City to Bend route I'll probably split off from you guys at John Day and haul ass down 26 through Prineville and Madras, and back into Hillsboro... Any way I look at it I am gonna have one helluva a long day to make it back in time to get some rest before Sat morning.

I'm still gonna head over Wed. Took the entire week off work so might as well enjoy the day... Probably take a few spins up and down the Rowena curves then back to HR in the afternoon.

I don't see any evidence of a gasket on the slave cylinder cover am I just missing it or is there not a gasket there.

Nope that was taken sitting on the bike with the front pointing straight.

So all the bits showed up and since it was off and on downpours today I decided to get everything installed today. The only issue I had was I was just a little off on my placement and had a minor clearance issue which promoted me to have to modify the connectors on the back of the gauge. The blue glowing light is a waterproof marine 12v adapter.

I had to separate them off the mounting panel because I couldn't find any place to mount them as a unit that wasn't either unreadable in riding position or interfered with the bars at slow speed.

Both are ran off of separate relays which are mounted behind the rear master cylinder. (Didn't get any pics before I buttoned it up.

Welcome to the nut house... Give your local dealer a call and make sure all of the recalls were done on your bike. They will need the full VIN. We'll have to get together in the spring and get a couple rides in prior to the OT ride.
