  1. I got the same thing installed on my VFR. As you can see in the link and photo below.

As I am not the electric expert, I was having concern that this one would continuously converting power from 12VDC to 5VDC if you having no kill switch.

That why I was making sure the battery safe from that concern, there was an On-Off switch installed between the battery and the USB port.

Correct me if I am wrong.

    Thanks.

  2. NOte to self , dont buy BIKE MASTER

Doesnt sound like its an exact oem fitment/replacement, maybe its like the K&n, you have to remove the standard OEM gasket for it to work right.

Oops... Never seen such recommendation. Actually I asked for a K&N or a BMC but I got the BikeMaster one. However, I was thinking of that 's not a bad one in comparison with the OEM air filter.

Yes, I did remove the gasket at the first place. But the problem still.

  3. I have just replaced the OEM air filter by BikeMaster filter.

Removing the OEM without any issue, but when install the Bike Master filter, I found difficult to get the edge of the filter to be fit/aligned with the cover and the filter housing. I did expect some kind of "click" sound when three parts fit together, but the rubber part of the filter seems too soft, it kept misaligned.

The filter part which toward the rear is a bit easier to adjust, but the part toward the front, there is no room, no gap from the filter to the frame, so I could not adjust.

    Any idea, pls.

  4. I am a member of travel forum in Vietnam, we usually have banner/stickers for each of our tour to stick on cars as you can see in the below photos.

After tour, we do our cleaning job, including removal of all stickers/banners.

Just simply use hands to peel off the stickers.

Apply diesel (fuel) oil to the remaining glue by a soft cloth. Wait for about 30-60secs, use dry cloth to clean, tenderly.

All gone. The paint surface now clean and shines.

  5. Very usefull stuff. Thanks for share.

For some scenes, I need to replay as not so familiar with lefthand riding.

About cornering, I think the VFRDians should change our tire to Sport type, instead of the Sport-touring type, if you like to ride on the flat/twisty road rather than the rough surface road. The Sport tire makes the cornering more smoothly than the Sport-touring tire because of its lower profile.

  6. I am using Metzetler X4 for the rear (Sport-touring tire), and found that it is okay for the normal straight road, but not good for the twisty road. It makes the bikes difficult to bend down and sometimies i feel the bike "shaking" coz of the tire profile.

Gotta change to street type soon.

  7. Oops... Unbelieveable on such kind issues... hahahaha.........

Frankly to say I 've never heard anything like this before.

The only thing which may happend here is some mouse get inside the cars and use power wiring or rubber/plastic parts as their food...
