So I'm an idiot. I thought the LSL kit was a replacement top clamp which had a bar mount on it, as opposed to what it really is - which is a pair of adapters that attach to the factory fork tubes.
Does anyone know of a company who makes a replacement top clamp to which you bolt dirt bike bars?

I ordered a set of the LSL Spiegler bars from SportBikeTrackGear. They should be here this weekend...

Really stupid question -- when you take the upper triple off, are there any bearings/seals to replace?

Come back, I'm a 5th gen owner!

Sooo who else has tackled this? I'm still trying to decide between the LSL kit and going the DIY route for my 5th gen..
Looks like the LSL kit is down to about $260.

Lee, how much do you think this moved the bars up and back versus a stock setup?

Have any of you guys tried to come up a similar kit yourselves? Getting another triple clamp, drilling it, finding risers & attaching them?
I'm interested in doing this myself but I don't know how much money I'd end up saving. At the cost of probably quite a bit of time...

How much are the blocks selling for?

Does anyone have a part number for the official Honda oil filter?

Where does the speedometer read the bike's speed from? Is it the front axle, the front sprocket, rear sprocket, rear axle..? Is the odometer from the same place?
Speedo runs off front sprocket, odo is the same signal.
So any gearing changes throw off the signal to both.
Thanks! I don't think I can see my front sprocket to count its teeth. Is it a pain to remove the stuff that's in the way?
