  1. Well, I am two days in to riding with the new lowered pegs. I am VERY impressed with the level of detail that has been taken, and with the thoroughness of Randy in the design and tweaks being made. I am uploading some pictures to my Photobucket account, and will link them here for an initial view....these are "under development" pictures, so the final product is still changing a bit.

I think the new tapered design is much sportier than the Buell version, and fits more with the VFR. The peg bolts up with zero problems, and I had just enough adjustment in the brake pedal to move it without having to take the assembly apart and shorten the rod. I also adjusted (after the first day) the brake light switch....opps. Shifter was easy to adjust, remove it and drop it down a couple teeth, until it is about level with the ground.

Finally Ready !! The last modifications to the Taper Peg are complete and tested. I will start making them in bulk next week, but have a few underway now. I know that Tightwad is going to offer them on his website, and they are available now on my website also. I'll be making a black pair to take pics of in a few days, but there are enough pictures of black pegs that you can see what they will look like for now. My website is new, so if you order something, send me an email and let me know you ordered. I will start on the 4th Gen in a few weeks, and hopefully it wont take as long. Sorry to keep everyone waiting so long.

    Great news, ordering link ?

  2. Inquiring minds want to know; projected price?

Somewhere around $65 - 75 U.S. for polished. $75 - 85 U.S. for anodized. See how it works out from there. There are several variables. Having only made 2 pair, as One Off's, I don't have all the production manufacturing steps established yet.

Whats the latest news there Boss9 ? Any production date estimates yet ?

  3. AWESOME ! I think I read somwhere that the Ulysses peg is longer than the VFR peg so a shortie version of that peg might be best to avoid loosing too much cornering capabilities for those some that need it.

Please keep us posted and put me down for a set. Will you be making a black option by any chance ?

  4. I have been consideiring these also...I did find these on eBay.

This is Randy from Knight Design LLC. I make the pegs that are shown in this link. So far about half of the Pegs I make for Buells are actually used on other makes and models of bikes. I can just as easily produce these same pegs to fit on a VFR, so that you won't have to buy a pair of pegs and then mod them yourself. I would just need someone to send me the vital dimensions of the pivot pin diameter, the distance from center(or front or rear) of the pivot hole to the rear of the peg, and the outside dimensions of the pivot forks( how much room is there between the top and bottom mounting tabs. I would be willing to make the first protype pair or Buell like drop pegs for no charge to anyone that would want to work with me on getting a pair of pegs made, and then actually trial fitted to ensure they fit and work properly. I have done this for other models of bikes and it has worked well. May need a stock peg if getting exact dimensions is not your thing. I can go either way. The pegs can be wide, as the Ulysesses pegs are that I produce, are more the the XB peg width.

Anyway since I have seen than many have followed this link to my Ebay postings, I thought I would mention to this group that I can make the pegs to fit your bikes also.

If anyone is interested, or just wants more information, email me at randyk@knightdesignllc.com
