Monk, you really opened up a can of worms with this one. It's like an oil thread, only different!
Chuck
You could say the thread is more refined.

I can't deliver a belt drive. But I do have a few suggestions and a place to bury the bodies.

Sorry to hear you bad luck. Makes me cringe when I think about all the stuff I have bungied to my bike. I guess I will permently mount the Givi case.

Them more I look at them, the more I like them... Very interested in your final tweak and thoughts. Love it when someone thinks out of the box, I just forget to put the top back on.

This is Randy from Knight Design LLC. I make the pegs that are shown in this link. So far about half of the Pegs I make for Buells are actually used on other makes and models of bikes. I can just as easily produce these same pegs to fit on a VFR, so that you won't have to buy a pair of pegs and then mod them yourself. I would just need someone to send me the vital dimensions of the pivot pin diameter, the distance from center(or front or rear) of the pivot hole to the rear of the peg, and the outside dimensions of the pivot forks( how much room is there between the top and bottom mounting tabs. I would be willing to make the first protype pair or Buell like drop pegs for no charge to anyone that would want to work with me on getting a pair of pegs made, and then actually trial fitted to ensure they fit and work properly. I have done this for other models of bikes and it has worked well. May need a stock peg if getting exact dimensions is not your thing. I can go either way. The pegs can be wide, as the Ulysesses pegs are that I produce, are more the the XB peg width.
Anyway since I have seen than many have followed this link to my Ebay postings, I thought I would mention to this group that I can make the pegs to fit your bikes also.
If anyone is interested, or just wants more information, email me at randyk@knightdesignllc.com

My 6th gen, being a proper lady... she certainly does not have balls. I want to ride her hard and fast, not throw my leg over a he-beast with giant black balls.
I'm going to mount some on my wife so I have something to kick when she complains about my bike.

Ok. I adjusted the levers and now the fluid level looks low. Do I "top it off"?
