It's just the beginning. Build it and they will come...

PS now, if non-VFR owners have to stand last to fill up, buy the first round and so on, think about those who trailer their bikes..... Hehehe.
Uh, so trailering the VStrom would be a reeeeely bad idea, I guess?
Glenn
No, it just means you're buying beer all night.

He does it on purpose and tells the kids to always check his computations to be sure. Whoever finds a mistake in his figures get extra marks. Great lesson for the kids.
Good thing you aren't a math teacher! ;)Okay. Just redid the math on this one. Doh! It's a lot cheaper than I thought. I forget that if we get 25-30 riders and we split costs, it actually works out to about $37.50 per night or $75.00 for your stay for the two nights. Now that is a deal. Event information and registration will be online this weekend.
And, btw, who needs to learn how to count these days with smart phones always handy...
I thought this was the English broke who use to show up in a KLR and smoke us old guys on sport bikes? Forgot his name. Photographer and great guy too??
Thats a great idea. When we get closer to the date, I will try to arrange a group convoy of those from the Fraser Valley. Looks like we will be reasonably represented. Even the ride to Nelson from here is a nice ride. The Crowsnest Hwy (Hwy3) is a nice bike ride almost the whole way. Have to hustle my but back home right after though for my wedding anniversary. Someone would not be amused if I were out riding about then.
Video of what Randy's last rout to the kootenay was, you can see him on his white bike demonstrating precise parking technique at 3 minute mark into video.

Another bonus: You also risk being exposed to some bad habits, thus enriching your life even further. So many great names.... legends really. NOW I really need to make an effort to go. Think of all the things I could learn from those people. About riding, but also about life in general...
C
Hehehe. Looking forward to those...

Would there be an issue with true material you are limited to use in one of them 3D printers? But I hope someone who knows what I am talking about can comment or rectify what I just said. I don't know how those work.

Link just brings me to google showing my own location. Something I missed?

EDIT: never mind, works just fine on the computer, just not on the smart phone. Carry on.

4) Marooncobra 6 GenOk. Here's where I am.
I got quotes on the part, but to be honest...I should get more. To me, it seems a bit high. And, at his price, I have added in nothing for me in all of this. Zero. Nada. I have also not added in shipping, and my time to get them/pkg them/ship them.
True, the guy DID redesign the part for the better, and took into effect all of the previous design points that seemed to be small issues for those of you who own/owned a pair of these in Gen 1: the bolt is no longer conical at the bottom, and the ridges are built-in on the base where the GSXR miror attaches to allow it to tighten and stay in the set position better. I truly think this was improved by the engineer's help. So, better design can/should = a bit more $, in my mind, right?
So now, I got a price, but he's asking about quantity. So, I have to ask:
Who might be seriously interested in a set (two mounts + drilled bolts) for the 6th gen? The 5th gen will be up next in line (if I get enough interest), but for now, let's start with just the 6th gen.
So, who's serious, and I'll count 'em up and see how many we might need. (Darth tells me he made/sold 50 sets when he did them.)
Potential 6th gen mounts buyers:
1) wgregt
2) Switchblade
3) DeltaboxiI (two sets)
5) Polarbear (for 6th gen just to confirm the gen)
