mshipes Posted May 12, 2015 Share Posted May 12, 2015 I posted about this last summer and have finally had time to jump back into it again. Currently the bike is only getting a weak spark on the #2 cylinder, here is what I have done. Checked primary voltage to the coils, #1,3,4 are at 7 volts, #2 is at 12volts Checked continuity on all grounds from the coils to the CDI/Ground ect. Pinned out every wire from the CDI to the coils and checked resistance. Swapped ECU/CDI unit to troubleshoot. Changed Impulse generator, Changed Stator New Battery Jumped bike tip over switch. jumped clutch switch jumped kill switch jumped kick-stand switch. I unplugged every connector on the harness, sanded, cleaned and dielectric greased every terminal. Unhooked every ground I could find and sanded, greased and re-attached. When I key on the fuel pump primes and when I turn it over I can see the injectors spraying so that system is good. Checked the spark plugs and swapped coils. What ever coil is at the #2 location gets a crappy orange spark so it isn't the coils. I did find one person located in the UK who had this same problem. I tracked him down via facebook to ask the question but never heard back. Does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed? Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
