GazVF500
Hi guys n gals, Just wonder if you can clear up a quick query I have. As you know I have a European spec VF500F2F, it's a 1986 model. I've got a copy of the Clymer manual and it has a table of the various models of carbs fitted to these bikes over their life. My carbs aren't listed! They physically fit the engine, but the model number does not appear in the manual. The ones I've got a labelled Keihin VD41A, has anyone else got these carbs on a VF500? Are they the right ones? Does Clymer not have them because the US got different equipment? On an aside, I've noticed that front and rear cylinders are jetted differently, which Clymer says only happened on the '84s. What's going on? Does anyone have the UK service manual for the '86? Any light anyone can throw on this would be extremely gratefully received! Guest
The diameter of the 86 carbs are 30mm the 84-85 are 35mm i think. I'm sure one of the more intellectual members will correct me if I'm wrong.
