In My Garage:

Found 20 results

  1. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Cathedral trees. Shade on the road was very rare.
  2. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

The Meritt Resevour area is famous for it's dark night-time sky. I was there during a new moon. Starlight was so bright, the Milky Way cast a shadow on the ground. Astronomers from around the world had a sky party during the new moon in July. Happens every year during July or August new moons.
  3. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

I added some coolant to the machine. Thanks Sparrow75 for the jug of coolant. And thanks to the original owner of the jug for passing it on. I left the remaining half full jug at the c-store / outfitting store in the middle of nowhere near the campground. While I was inside chatting with the propriator, some SOB stole my sleeping pads off my pillion seat.
  4. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Fabulous campsite. I was the only camper, happy or not. And I WAS happy. Shade and water-cooled breezes.
  5. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

My campsite at Boardman Campground in Meritt Resevour Recreation Area, 26 miles south of Valentine, Neb. on hwy 97.
  6. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

    Wide views. Everywhere.
  7. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

    Cathedral trees.
  8. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Narrow road. Very disconserting approching blind hill top. If opposing traffic meet, someone must move half off the road. The verge did not look motorcycle friendly.
  9. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

The narrowest public road I've encountered. One lane, 10 feet and small change wide.
  10. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

The landscape. Road tops hill in the distance.
  11. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Nobody home. I wonder if it's in foreclosure.
  12. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

    Purple flowers in foreground.
  13. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Mom and child in sun. Shade is rare in these parts.
  14. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Where I came from. Note road in background.
  15. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

    Where I'm headed.
  16. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Beyond the shade. Hwy 97 runs 75 miles from Valentine, Neb in the north to Mullen in the south. I've heard rumors this is a TDS road. Fabulous tarmac, great sight lines, little traffic.
  17. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

The bulls and I had a long and interesting conversation about my leather gear!
  18. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Mother and child in the sun.
  19. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

Rest stop. Cows were all in the shade when I arrived. All moved from the shade except a couple of bulls.
  20. From the album: Nebraska Sand Hills

    Rest stop shade. With cows.
