VFR Braintrust...2006 w/~26k miles. I rode 830 highway miles yesterday and just as I turned on to my street the engine abruptly shut down, I was able to roll it into the garage and left it for the night. It started up fine the morning and again this afternoon but I didn't take it out for a ride. At shut down last night, I had 1/2+ tank of gas, full electrical (dash, lights, starter), although had ear plugs in and couldn't hear the fuel pump engage. The engine turned over fine but would just not start. I always use name brand quality gasoline, although a few days prior to this last drive I did have to fill w/10% Ethanol at a Shell station in Utah. I have more trips planned and of course would like to have confidence in the bikes performance when miles from home. Could this be a fuel filter, fuel pump issue or an electrical gremlin...? Where should I start to analyze and eliminate? Thanks in advance for your input or link to existing discussion, it's very much appreciated.

I'm just curious if anyone has tried these? I like the idea of an in-tank bag pre-filter for those occasions when you just don't have the opportunity to be picky about fuel. The documentation on the site looks impressive, but it would be nice to get real world feedback. The price isn't unreasonable if it lives up to the hype. If it doesn't out-perform a basic nylon bag filter, then the price is way too high.

I've managed to get my other VFR750 back together and have an MOT tomorrow, it's hopefully all ready for it and will pass. I have a couple of issues: 1. The fan isn't switching on. I've double checked all the connections and they look clean and good to go. Can I just try swapping the switch out on the left hand side of the radiator without bleeding the system? 2. A minor fuel leak from the fuel filter. It's happening at the point where the fuel pipe goes from the tank to the filter, it's like the pipe isn't sealing/tight enough on the filter itself. Are the 90-97 fuel filters identical? I want to make sure of this before I order a new fuel line. Thanks guys!

Just curious with what others are using for fuel filters in their 3rd and 4th gens. I've had bad luck with the clear case FRAM fuel filters. They clog easy and don't flow very well to begin with.
