Hello, New to the group and new to VFRs. Picked up a 2006 VFR with 8k miles. I got a Power Commander III to help with the dip in responsiveness/performance between 4k-6k RPM. Looking for someone to share a MAP to a PCIII or PC V that they run on their bike. My bike is stock with exception to the Power Commander. Any help would be awesome to get a MAP that someone is actually using or has experience with to upload to my bike. Any other suggestions for improving the performance I will gladly listen to. Thanks so much for the help and this group. Some really great content on here. Thanks!

I purchased a 1997 vfr750 with 18k on the odo for $450 in March. Wasn't running but it had just rained and there was no gas cap. Took it home and swapped the spark plugs to find it ran perfectly, but had a lot of rough edges cosmetically. I'm a bit into the build already but heres whats been done so far. 06 cbr600rr fairing stay, ground down to match the frame upper bolt hole 06 cbr600rr fairings + headlight crappy handmade brackets as I figure out a sturdier solution drilled into cbr headlight to mount oil cooler tbr headers (came with the bike) tbr exhaust 8 spoke rear wheel (came with the bike) ebay levers hel front and rear brake lines chopped down oem speedo new fluids all around new coolant reservoir Pirelli Angel GTs ready for uppers awaiting mids Found underneath 4 layers of shitty paint

Hi guy and girls. New member and hoping you can help. Just bought a 2006 VFR800Fi and would like to know a bit of history about the bike. Bike was imported to Australia and has import label dated 12/2007. The problem I have is the VIN (stamped on the frame and on the import label) is nothing like I have ever seen. VIN is: 6u9000rc461500016 What is curious is the VIN plate under the seat is made of brass and has the number hand etched. I've attached some photos. Any help in identifying some history would be appreciated.

Hi VFRees, I will soon come in to possession of a 2008 VFR. I've been reading through a lot of the threads on here about the electrical issues. Can anybody clarify whether the models after the 2002-2005 recall (2006-2009) still require a VFRness to achieve a more reliable electrical system? If not, are there any other recommended mods to the electrical system for the 2008? I plan to install a fuse block for an accessory circuit including a volt meter.

Does anyone have experience with the aftermarket fairing kits on Ebay? I'm looking at the straight out of Hong Kong Chinese kits, for instance, Heyman brand. I low-sided my 2006 and knocked a few bits off the left side. It would have been worse without the Radar sliders. Are these kits too good to be true? Are they as low quality as I imagine, or will they be close in quality to the Honda plastics? I only need the left fairing, rear fairing, and pillion cover. Or should I hold out and wait for someone to wreck the right side of their black '06 so I can cannibalize the left side? But for $500 shipped for a cool color scheme seems like a deal. Thanks!

2006 ABS 56,xxx miles New Yuasa battery All regular maintenance is on schedule Was in heavy rain 3 weeks ago. New tstat 2 weeks ago. H4s and H7s - New LEFT H4 a month ago. Headlights are on a relay and have always taken only a few seconds to come on. FIRST THE LEFT headlight, followed by the right about two or three seconds later. This past Sunday, the lights did not come on at all for the first couple of minutes. High beams worked just fine. After a few minutes, I blipped the throttle and the lights came on and stayed on. Tonight, same thing. Warmed up the engine, lights never came on. High beams were good. I blipped the throttle a couple times and nothing. Waited another minute, turned the throttle, lights came on. Doubt this has anything to do with it but I noticed the engine temp was at 136F when the lights came on tonight. Didn't notice on Sunday but seemed to be about the same amount of time in terms of letting the engine run. Guessing just a connection is loose somewhere but if that isn't it, what else could it be? Thanks.

Hello, This may be a dumb question, but, on my 2006 w/ABS both of the front brake calipers are loose where they attach to the forks. The bolts cannot be tightened anymore so I was wondering if this is normal. The brakes work fine but the calipers can be wiggled by hand and the left one is looser then the right! I never noticed this on any bike I had before, but I never owned a Honda. Thanks!
