  1. We had a great time--that photo was taken last year.....But, I'm writing this right now while at the robbinsville microtel with my family motorcycle gang---did the deals gap thing yesterday--we did a 250 mile blue ridge loop today....hope to post pictures soon...

  2. VFRider Gal--you might consider what we do. My oldest daughter, on her Seca II and me solo on the viffer make will ride to our destination -- whether its deals gap or Barber Motorsports Park, etc and wife trailers her beemer with our 11yo watching videos in our Honda Van. That way we have our support vehicle to carry all of the crap a family ends up taking, and we can take a day off from riding and go do some shopping in pidgeon forge...

If the weather is super crappy we just put my oldest daughter bike on the trailer ( a utility trailer with two baxley stands) and I head off into the muck on my own--the rain doesn't bother my 'stich or my Z6's

    Ride safe.

  3. We were there mid week and rode US 129 and the Skyway early in the morning then headed off to oher lesser traveled roads. Traffic was fairly light, even though the honda hoot was the following week. LEO presence was light the whole week we were in the area. Cruisers slowed me down more when I was solo...

Yup, those are Genmar mirror extenders so I can see past my fat elbows...

John--Hope it stays dry for you in SEP, unlike the VFRD get-together!

    Ride Safe.

  4. Hey, made the big time! Thanks Slammer. That was taken during our family annual Hoot outing. We go prior to the hoot and midweek to avoid the craziness. Thats my 11yo daughter cheesing for Killboy. She's a great passenger! The Corbin seat with backrest and the Autocomm have proved invaluable for her comfort and piece of mind. My 18yo daughter is behind me on her red Seca II, and not in the picture is my wife on her F650GS.

  5. What a great Get Together and Tribute to Texas Mac! I'm grateful to have had the time to be part of it.

7 hours on the road getting home-most of it on the road. Two things were evident--My very reflective 'Stich (judging from the flash photo taken at the memorial that you posted) kept me completely dry...

and Z6's are GREAT rain tires!

PS--Ponrod, those harley guys/girls we saw at the overlook before you left made it to the bottom of the hill in one piece....amazin'
