  1. Don't order the Roadstercycle install bracket. I have custom designed mount kits for the 6th gen for both the Fh020 and Sh847........
  2. Ok Dude, step back....I' m going the blunt route..... first ---- Shit can the OEM R/R!!! It's the heart of a lot of problems. Next.... replace with either the SH847AA or FH020AA Shindengen R/R from .....www.roadstercycle.com......... products are going across the border fine. Install with no OEM connector between the stator and R/R, either solder or a double overlapping butt style connector. Then ditch the Vfrness. I'm sorry, but it doesn't help, when components decide to die, they are gonna die! Wire to current art, then we can start from there.
  3. Kinda what my curiosity would be..... If the bike was wired to current art, Vfrness is not needed........
  4. @vfrcapn......Yes, weight each, very curious.... -- I am more the reduce weight junkie vs hp guy.... Mbe start your own new thread on your wheel project? 😎
  5. You guys are the first ones I have heard that like the popping on deceleration........ My bike did it with the Kerker pipe, drove me crazy. Finally I did the pair valve strip out, and it's no more.. Much better.. Hee hee, to each his own, it's all good.....
  6. Sounds great, don't forget to post up photos of the build up and assembly...
  7. I understand what you want to do, ....But.... . I owned a 4th gen for 7 years and the carb fueling on it was very spot on, the engine ran sooo smoothly. When I checked plugs, they were the most perfect shade of tan you could want from any engine. ...... IMHO, it would be a shame to mess with what is a great stock fueling setup already.
  8. I'm with you there, I admit I uttered "Moron" a handful of times as he took things apart. Who takes a bike apart with no penetrate oil at hand... header bolts.... totally bugger up the rear axle etc.....no forethought in disassembly... more etc....(Jeez, I wonder how that torque wrench got broken?) I think the guys work goes in the "avoid" column.
  9. Yes, plz post pics of any and all the work you have done. Thxz
  10. For a delink job and going to different front forks, .. for the rear you do need to change out the master cylinder to a 14mm diameter. Options.. F4i, VTR1000, RC51, CBR600RR. All use the same base castings. - I just bought a '02 RC51 m/c new, I didnt want to have to rebuild. --- The rear caliper pistons need to be working together. I used a bridge line that works fine, and one OEM brake line from the m/c to the caliper, I think I still have pictures in my gallery. - Other guys have just used 2 OEM lines to the caliper and then even others have just drilled out a path in the caliper so just one line is needed, and then one hydraulic port is sealed. All work fine. Please dont forget this step, your rear brake will be crap if you dont. Photos -- I have been running this setup a long time now, and it still works well. Cheers
  11. Very nice job on the 5th gen!

    Lean it! - Footpeg scraping?
  13. So just curious... assuming I still would want to grab one of these... is there any reason to prioritize a SP2 vs a SP1?
  14. My butt and my bladder couldnt hold out for the full tank of gas on a setup like that. For me, the gas breaks with the stock tank are good....
  15. I think candyredrc46 mentioned that pipercross was his preferred filter.. ...just for info, I'm running a BMC filter, that's full width - seems to be fine.....----skip the k&n..
  16. Hi mello dude, Thank you for your donation of --. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  17. Hey MiniCarver --- I think you may have the near ultimate VFR there with the 6th based and 5th engine plus 8th wheels and monoblocks.. >>>>Wow, just frick'n WOW! --- If I get your way, I would love to see it in person. You Carvers blow me away..
  18. Got the factory service manual? You can download from this site.
  19. I think I will do the triangle cutout on my stocker guard. - But also - post up pics of your aftermarket chain guard. -- (The stocker is kind of a wart.)
